AMELIA'S POV

Today is finally my 20th birthday my mom called me down for breakfast and I was treated like a princess by both of my parents they were high school sweethearts and they later got married immediately after college and gave birth to me two years after their marriage. I never belived that those moments will be short lived after taking my bath I asked my mom to help me braid my hair because I love when she does my hair even tho I'm old enough to do them myself after which we headed down together to meet my dad and my siblings for a big breakfast my mom went all out to surprise me for my birthday which I am happy about, in the evening after singing a birthday song got my mom brought out the cake she baked for me after making my wish I blew out the candle and she served the cake to everyone around and I got lots of gifts from my uncles, aunties, friends, my siblings and even my parents after the party people began to leave as my dad was talking to some of his friends that came then he locked up this house and went to sleep after complaining of a headache, ive noticed that dad has been more tired lately and i really dont kniw the reason maybe i will ask him tomorrow.

The next morning I and my siblings came down for breakfast after breakfast we all went to the palour to have some family time my dad go some popcorn for the movie, after the movie he stood up to play with us and mummy when he suddenly fainted and we rushed him to the hospital where we got the shock of our lives my dad had cancer and didn't have much time to live cos it had already entered the 4th stage after that my mom became a shell of herself and rely left the hospital and always stayed with my father till the day he died, my mom stopped talking to people and stopped leaving her room till she became sick and hospitalized from depression. I had to become a parent to both of my siblings at an early age.

Waking up most days has to be a chore and I hate mornings I rolled out from bed prepared myself for the day them made breakfast for my siblings before waking them up to prepare for school after food I took them to school then went to see my mom in the hospital after talking to her from sometime the nurse came and gave her an injection which made her to sleep so I left

on my way out I saw her doctor and he told me to make last months payment or they will stop treating her and I promised to pay before the end of the week.

I met up with my friends telling them the new update concerning my mom with they both contributed 1000 dollars for me to make in some payments after crying for sometime we parted ways
