Sofia’s POV Luca was waiting at the bottom of the staircase. He was in a dark suit — not the working suit, something different, something with a cut that suggested the evening was the point rather than the function — and he was looking up at me as I came down the stairs with an expression that I had never seen on his face before and which did something significant to my ability to navigate stairs correctly.
