"Everyone is ready, yes?"
"Minus me," Landon groaned. "I need to piss."
I sighed with slight frustration which earned me a look.
"What!? A man gotta pee."
"Fine, be fast."
Immediately after he left, Maria and Olivia entered my office, and both of them bowed.
"Alpha, you sent for us?"
"Yes, I'll be leaving the palace for some days but it's a secret, only you and her should know because I need you both to keep a close eye on Clara. For all I know enemies could be with us in the palace."
"We understand Alpha." They replied in sync and I nodded.
"You may leave."
Olivia left while Maria walked up to me. "I know your father, please be careful."
"I will," I almost called her mom but I immediately stopped myself. "You don't have to worry, just take care of Clara."
