"What the hell?" Roberto exclaimed, his voice a mix of disbelief and anger. "He was right here! How could he just disappear?"
My eyes darted around the clearing, searching for any sign of what happened. "This doesn't make sense. Someone must have taken him, but how? When? Just one stupid wolf showed up and now we lost a dead body?! Just before our very own eyes?!"
Landon coughed. "For the record, our backs were turned on the dead body... " I shot him a glare to shut up him.
"No time for jokes."
"Sorry." He shrugged.
"But why? Who would do this?" Maria said as she scanned the area, Roberto who was silent bent down and picked up a paper that was next to a tree.
