While speaking, my boss practically shoved me out of the kitchen.
He seemed scared that if I didn’t hurry to meet Luke, then Luke might punish him or do something horrible to him.
I hadn't expected him to become so nervous at the mere mention of Luke, and I wondered what exactly Luke had told him to scare him so much.
Curiously, I leaned over and asked in a low voice, "Boss, what has Alpha Graham done to you? Did he threaten you? Tell me about it, I promise I won’t tell him you told me."
