THE UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER

DYLAN'S POV
I drove home with the girl who I had taken to the hospital on my mind. I put the passcode to my house and entered. Then I saw Ethan in the living room.
"Where have you been??" He asked when he saw me
" I was involved in an accident I told him."
" What happened? Did you sustain any injury" he asked looking worried
" It wasn't me " I laughed " I hit a girl "
" OMG! How's she?"
" She's fine. Just shock and all"
" I told you before, you should quit drinking. Zynelle would never be happy if she ever heard you started drinking. Why can't you be focused? You think drinking will bring zynelle back?" He queried
" I understand. I have decided to quit it "
" You should hear up the food I made for you and also you should have your bath. You stink " he said covering his nose
" Yes! Yes! I want to go and have my bath" I raised my hand
I had my bath and I came downstairs, Ethan wasn't there. Seems like he has gone to sleep. I heated the white rice and soup he had made and when I was done I went to sleep
I opened my eyes because the sun was shining directly in my face. I checked my time immediately, it was past eleven. I have never slept this late before so I was shocked. Even the part time House help had already cleaned the house. I went to the kitchen and ate sandwich. I quickly had my bath. I remembered the girl who was in hospital. I needed to see her before going to work. I drove to the hospital and met with the doctor.
“ How's she?” I asked him
“ Who are you talking about?”
Seems like he didn't see my face when I had brought her yesterday night
“ I was the one who brought a girl who passed out and you said it was shock” I explained to him
“ Ohh! I'm sorry I didn't recognize you” he apologized “ and she left this morning” he told me

I needed to find that girl. J entered my car and drove to the company. Why did Ethan not wake me up?? And I didn't even hear the alarm go off.
I entered the company, and the expression on their faces was enough to let anyone know what they were thinking. They have never seen me this late.
I went to my office and saw Ethan there
“ Why didn't you wake me?” I asked him immediately I entered
“ I wanted you to sleep. It's obvious you were tired “
It was true though I was really tired from yesterday and I slept late
“ Why did you fire Laura?” Ethan asked immediately I sat
“ She became too relaxed” I walked to my Expresso machine which I have never used before. I wanted to make my coffee but I don't know how it is used
“ How was she relaxed” he asked
“ She told me I was lying after I asked her a question “
“ You can sit and tell me what exactly she did while I make the coffee for you “ seems like Ethan noticed I couldn't use it
“ She brought the cappuccino for me and I asked her why she brought it and she told me she did not bring a cappuccino that it was an Expresso.” I told him
“ That wasn't enough reason to fire her”
“ That's more than enough reason”
“ I was thinking what exactly made you fire her. If it was because of the cappuccino or because she told you it was an Expresso she brought. Then I thought what exactly would make you fire her because of the cappuccino and thinking about it, I think I know the reason “ he said handing me the coffee
“ What do you mean by that?”
“ Is it because the cappuccino reminded you of zynelle?”
“ Ethan…”
“ Yes because of zynelle. I have told you before, you should stop personal problem to work else your business will crumble. You just made that girl jobless because of personal reasons”
“ I'm sorry “
“ You should be”
Ethan was right, when I had drank the cappuccino I suddenly remembered zynelle. How we always argued whose coffee was better. I looked at the chair she always sat whenever she came. I really do miss her
“ I already sent out job advert for the application of a secretary, this shouldn't repeat itself else you would have to take care of it yourself “
“ Thanks Ethan, what would I do without you?”
“ So what about the girl? How is she now?”
“ When I went back to the hospital she was already gone, I think I might have to go to the bar again to see her”
“ I will go with you” Ethan said
“You don't have to go with me, you've already done enough”
“ No. I will go with you and that's final”
“Ok” I said raising my hand.
“ You don't have to be childish dude” he laughed “ I have to go to work” he stood up and left
What would I have done without Ethan. He's a true friend indeed I smiled to myself
Ethan's POV
Immediately I left Dylan's office, Laura ran to me.
“ Sir what did he say?”
“ He's not going to hire you again”
Laura had actually begged me to help her talk to Dylan to take her back. She didn't want to be jobless
“ How would I cover my mum's medical bill?” She sobbed
“ But would you like to work at my company” I felt pity for her
“ Any work. I'm ready just give me any work”
“ That's okay”
“ You can start work tomorrow”
“ Thank you Sir. I really appreciate”
I entered my car and drove off. I had to prepare for the interview. And I had to get everything ready so I can go to the bar with Ethan. I needed to see the girl that was making him worry
