I woke up and started dressing for work. After I was done, I saw Keira coming down from the stairs. She was dressed in a grey corporate skirt and top and she wore heels
“. Good morning sir. Hope you don't really mind me wearing this clothes. It's my first day at work.” She explained
“ No worries” I smiled “ do you mind me taking you to work??”
“ No there's no need you've already done enough for me”
“ No I don't mind I just want to take you to work”
“ You shouldn't. Thank you” she bowed
.what a character I smiled. She didn't even eat. Maybe she's not hungry. If she were she would have eaten. I entered my car and drove to work.
I met Ethan already in my office. Yes today the new secretary would be working. I really hope she doesn't mess up.
“ Good morning” I greeted him
“ How was your night?” Ethan laughed
“ You know you have your company right?”
“ Ouch” he feigned hurt “ you shouldn't say that, how would you cope without me” he laughed
Jerk! Then I heard a knock. it must be the new Secretary
“ Come in” Ethan said
“!Good morning Sir” she bowed her head. She was holding my coffee
“ Drop it at thee coffee… Keira” I stopped talking when I realized it was her “ you work here”
“ Yes sir” she dropped the coffee and she bowed slightly and left
“ You knew right?” I asked Ethan
“ Of course. She really looks like Zynelle.” He said looking at the door which she just left
“ She slept at my place yesterday”
“ What the f**k do you mean??”
“ It's not what you think” I hit him
“ Then what happened??”
“ As I was driving home yesterday I saw her on the road crying. I asked her what happened and she told me there was fire at her place and she had no where to spend the night. So I told her to come to sleep at my place and she could leave when she's sorted out already “
“ Are you serious??” He asked “ but it's suspicious though “
“ What is?”
“ I mean the fire and she crying at the place you drive through “
“ Don't overthink it” I pat his shoulder “ she needed help”
“ So how's the new project you're working on??”
“ I'm almost done with it”
“ That's exactly what I want to hear not you wallowing in heartbreak”
“ Stop it “ I hit him
“ I'm serious, you've been working on this project for the last four years no improvement. I hope this new Secretary really help you move on”
“ I will be coming to your mall to shop for clothes”
“ You never came on your own”
“ Is it bad if I come??”
“ Of course not I will be expecting you” he stood up “ I have to go. I just came so I would see your reaction when you see her”
“And you got it??” I laughed
“ I ended up being surprised too” we both laughed
Then he went out and I continued with my work. It was closing hours and I needed to take Keira home. I went to her office and I saw her just closing her laptop.
“ Mind me taking you home?” I said
“ Huh?”
“ You know since you're staying with me, I should take you home. It won't be nice if you take a cab when I can just take you home “
“ Ohhh, thank you” she said packing her things
“ So can I take you home??”
“ Yes” she smiled
We went downstairs and she entered my car and I drove us home.
When I got home, I noticed the door was opened. Was Ethan in my house?? He was the only one who knew the password to my house. I entered the room and met my cousin, Miquel. OMG, it's been long I saw him.
“ How are you doing??” I asked
“ Is that how to greet a brother you haven't seen for six years?” he frowned
“ You aren't my brother “
“ I know I didn't call you for years, I'm sorry. I lost contact. I don't know how I was able to still know where you stay?”
“ Zynelle “ he walked to Keira. I didn't know she was still here
“ You should go to your room” she nodded and walked away “ she isn't Zynelle” I told him
“ What!” He exclaimed “ what about Zynelle?”
“ We broke up five years ago”
“ Five years ago? What happened?”
“ She cheated with Don Mark”
“ No. Zynelle can never do that. How are you sure it's not Don Mark's usual tactics?”
“ It isn't”
“ How…”
“ I saw them together. She even told me that she dated me because of my money.
“ For ten years? That's not possible. You know Zynelle more than I do. You shouldn't believe that. Did you ask her after?”
“ No, she disappeared”
“ That means you haven't heard from her since this five years?”
“ No one has “
“ That's ridiculous “
“It sure is”
“ Then why did you replace her with her look alike?”
“ She is just my secretary who is not stable. Just wanted to help her”
“ I don't like her”
“ That's your business” I laughed
“ So what about Sinclair?”
“ He said he will be coming next week”
“ Both of you left us for five years and just show looking like nothing happened”
“ I am sorry, we will make it up to you guys”
“ Does Ethan know you are here?”
“ No, I thought both of you would come here. I wanted to surprise you guys “
“ Ohh”
“ You should call him to come”
“ Alright but I have to take my bath. And the things in your room is still intact Incase you want to bath”
“ Yes I checked”
I went to my room to take my bath.
Me, Sinclair, Ethan and Miquel have been friends since we were young. Did everything together and when we were done with college, Sinclair and Miquel decided to go to the united Kingdom. And we didn't hear from them for five years not until today. What a good friend! I called Ethan and told him to come over that there was something I wanted to show him. Je told me to give him ten minutes and he would be here. I had my bath and went to Keira's room. I knocked the door and opened it. She was on her bed I went closer and saw she was drawing.
“ Nice drawing” I smiled at her
“ Thank you” she said closing the book
“ Are you not hungry?” I asked her” what are you going to eat because I want to offer food right now “
“ I would eat pasta “ she smiled
“ Alright “ I went out
I met Miquel watching movie.
“ Is Ethan still not back?”
“ No, you know he never keeps to time”
Then the door opened
“ Sorry for… Miquel” he shouted
“ Hey keep it low” I frowned at him
“ OMG! Where have you been? We didn't hear from you again?” Ethan continued ignoring me completely
“ I'm sorry I lost contact “ Miquel apologized
“ How's London?” Ethan asked “ what about Sinclair?” he asked looking around
“ He will be coming next week”
“ Ok let me order food for us “
“ What are you going to eat?” I asked them
They told me and I ordered from KFC. I gave them their delivery and took Keira own to her
