episode 4 cont'd

edan's POV

I held my head in pain as my blurry vision scrutinized the place once again

"welcome son,I hope you enjoyed the trip" a booming thunderous deep voice said

and I looked around to see who it was

but........

"that voice it sounded strangely familiar

where have I heard it before?? but wait he called me his son,how can it be" I thought still looking around to know where the person bearing the voice might be

"welcome once again your highness" the voice said and I turned in time to see a silhouette of a man looming closer and closer to where I am

I tried to move but realized I was tied to the chair I'm sitting on

I tried a couple of futile attempts to free myself

without helping it any longer I asked

"who the hell are you ???and where's this place,why am I here??"

the man came closer

touching me with his long claw like fingers white as though untouched by the son for years

then I saw him

"wait a minute it can't be him,it really can't be he doesn't belong to this sort of place" I thought as realization dawned on me

the thought of it took me down to the memory I'll never forget.............

it was just like any other night when I was ten

we just finished dinner

me,my mom and dad and also my little sister cherry who was just three

mom tucked me in my bed with my sister beside me already asleep

and kissed me on the forehead

"mom please can you tell me a story or sing me a lullaby while I sleep" I said yawning softly

"no not tonight edan,you might wake your sister,keep it low" mom said and walked towards the door she turned with a smile and said

"I will tell you a story about the lone wolf"

I cackled happily as I close my eyes

the lone wolf has always been my favorite story

though it reminds me of my own family

suddenly I heard shouts coming from downstairs

"mom is that you?" I asked as I walked towards the door and descended the stairs

the shouts is coming from the living room and I hid to eavesdrop

"I told you it was a mistake,I didn't mean to give you over please trust me calista" I heard my dad's voice

it sounded so worried about something

"we need to get out of here now!!,I already know it was a huge mistake marrying you against my people's wish" my dad said again

"oh now you're blaming me now john,I warned you I pleaded with you to stay away but you threatened to kill everyone I hold dear to how is it my fault??

and what about the kids what will happen to them" my mom shouted back at my dad and broke into a sob

"its all your fault john....all your damn fault" she kept saying as she sank on the floor sobbing hard

"no calista please don't cry,I did it because I love you,I never have loved any woman in my entire life but you came and changed my life,I couldn't let you go that easily it hurts " my dad said as he hugged mom his own tears sliding down his cheeks

he pulled mom closer and wiped her cheeks while pecking her continuously mom stopped sobbing and looking at dad she asked

"what about the children,if I leave who will take care of them

my brows furrowed " why will mom leave have I done something wrong??"

but dad said "oh come on calista,they have the alpha blood running in their veins,now pack your bag and I'll drive you to the airport,I think they have detected our scents" dad said with a note of urgency

I didn't make head nor tail of what they're talking about

but....

I opened the door and walked in looking at my parents

"where's mom going dad??" I asked as tears streamed down my face

"mom please don't go,I want to go with you,you haven't told me the story you promised" I said clinging to my mom and sobbing profusely

my parents looked at me in surprise

"edan your mom is not going anywhere she's still here OK??,come" I went over to dad and sat on his laps as he tried to console me

suddenly we heard a terrible growl.........

"oh no they found us" dad said

I was very scared

"come on Edan fast !!!! go wake your little sister and run down here fast!!" dad said urgently pelting towards his room with mom obviously to pick some few things

even though I'm still a kid yet I understood the pressing issue

"cherry,cherry wake up"I whispered shaking my little sis who's sleeping soundly oblivious of what's happening

suddenly

I heard a loud bang on the door

and the sound of the door bursting open

my heart was hammering loudly

I shook my sister with great force this time and she started then opened her eyes trying to grasp why I did that

" quick hide!!!" I muttered quickly and simultaneously pushing her into the closet

and covering her up with some cloth

"what-tt's happ-ppening" my sister asked slightly shaking

"nothing just stay calm,lemme go check up on dad and mom" I said

I strained my ear for any other sound

but the silence was deafening

I tiptoed downstairs to check what broke the door,then I heard a heavy scream,

"mom!dad!" I thought walking faster to the direction of the sound

I ducked behind a wall in time because I almost bumped into a wolf hound larger than the normal wolf with piercing red eyes that send triggers down my soul

I was shivering terribly praying this was a terrible dream

it walked towards mom and dad's room

and I followed unnoticed

and his behind the pillar close to their room

and was able to see what's going on

and I was horrified on seeing mom and dad being bound up

and surrounded by three other fierce looking wolves

"do you think,I came all the way here to listen to your trash,for the last time where is it??" said the wolf

I was baffled,how is it possible or maybe........

before I could think something up

dad spoke up

"I told you clearly before Killian that I'm not with it" I noticed he said that with an almost sarcastic tone

"ohh I see,you want to do it the hard way john" the wolf said walking up to my parents

"no no john you have to tell them,please I don't want to die yet" mom said shaking dad slightly as she broke down crying

"quiet calista,I don't know where it is and that's final,he can do his worst!!" dad said seething with rage trying to free mom from her strong hold

"fine then,john you brought this on yourself" he said to dad

and swiftly turn to the wolf standing close to the exit "go and bring the children,I think that will do the trick" for a split second I quickly looked at dads direction and I saw him looking at me and then he mouthed "run"

I didn't wait and started running out of the house towards the woods

but I think that alerted the assailant as one of them ran after me

instantly I knew I can't outrun him

yet I kept running

up ahead I saw a very tall tree almost as though inviting me to climb on it

I'm not a good climber,as much as I can remember I had never climbed before

but I scrambled over it hurriedly not minding whether I'll slip or not

fortunately I clambered successfully

panting heavily

almost immediately

I heard heavy paws thudding the ground
