I waited in my room for the guys to arrive, keeping myself busy by reading a book or I would go crazy thinking. Luciano knew I loved reading, so he bought so many new ones to add to his library.
I suddenly heard the door open and it was him, making me jump from my chair.
“Are they here?” I asked, hoping he was able to get them out.
“Yes, they’re here. They’re in the basement. We have a made up hospital room there.”
I felt relieved and hugged him with all my strength. I was not sure what came over me, but I felt the need to kiss him and so I did.
“Thank you for saving them. I owe you one.”
He smiled down at me, kissing my forehead before I headed out of the room in a hurry.
