Chapter 23
June was found by a servant, who had come in to change the towels and clean. Immediately, she ran to get the guard who was usually standing outside the bedroom door. She was rushed to the infirmary and placed in a room. Once she was a bit more hydrated from the fluids they injected into her, she was just barely able to speak. “Guys, calm down. It’s probably just a stomach bug. I’ll be fine in a few days.” she insisted, even though she knew something else was going on. “My lady, you are very ill. What was the last thing you had to eat or drink?” one of the nurses asked. “The tea someone had brought for me.” They all looked at each other, not knowing what she was talking about. “Do you know who brought the tea?” “No, it was there when I woke up.
