The trip back through the tunnels was thankfully easy. They made it back to their horses, and Hunter almost cried. He wanted nothing more than to lay down and rest, but he knew he was way too close to saving June to give up now.
“Do you want to just set up camp here?” Marge offered, seeing how exhausted Hunter was. All he did was nod and the two began setting up the tents and Marge had a fire going before Hunter was even finished with his tent. She went over and took it out of his hands. “Just go sit down, dear. I’ll set it up for you.” As much as Hunter wanted to argue, he had pushed his body well beyond its limits and he just walked over by the fire and practically fell on the ground.
