Alexander sat alone in the living room, his head bowed low and his fingers clenched when a familiar scent filled his nostrils. He looked up in confusion and followed the scent, trying to find where it was coming from. He could never mistake that scent– the scent of his beloved.
He quickly got out of the living room and then to the courtyard outside. He tracked the scent out to the side of the mansion and found Zoey. She looked quite disheveled and out of breath as she kept panting uncontrollably. Alexander wondered what she was doing in his pack, but that's not what caught his attention. Standing next to Zoey was Vanessa. She was also panting, as though they had run for way too long.
"Alexander," Vanessa quickly rushed over to his side and hugged him lovingly. "I've missed you so much,"
