I'm just confused.

I sit there for a moment and just think, why was Max still so f*****g mad at me for something that happened over a month ago? I mean is he still pinning after me? I'm just as confused as I was when he first got here. I sigh and look at my phone which was somehow still in my pocket. I open up the message from Daisy, noticing it's a video I take precautions before playing it, I sit down on the couch. "You act as if you guys will be together forever." Layla scoffs as she walks onto the court. "I didn't know trash was allowed here." Rob laughs, Carl laughs as Collin tries to hold back from laughing. "Oh, f**k off you two-inch baby." Layla sneers rolling her eyes. "So, you and Rylee finally did it huh? I guess it's true what Daisy said, she really is nothing but a whore." Layla continues, Collin looks angry. "Rylee is my girlfriend," Collin answers sternly, showing no emotion. "Awe, that's so sweet. Is that why she's with Luka right now?" Layla smirks. "That's fine, she can hang out with whoever she wants to." Collin answers. "Come on baby, just come f**k me. Get your mind away from the low-life whore." Layla says rounding him, running her hand along his chest. "Get the f**k off of me, if anyone is a low-life w***e it would be you." Collin scoffs pushing himself away from her. "I f****d one guy while we were together," Layla says sweetly. "One guy, 20 different times." Collin scoffs. "Hey, he said to get the f**k off of him." Carl stands between Layla and Collin as she walks closer. "Listen you crazy b***h, he doesn't want anything to do with you or your family. So just get the f**k out of here." Rob says sternly. "Fine, I'll just be expecting you once you see Rylee and Luka together, at her house. Hugging, alone, in the dark." Layla smirks pulling out her phone before Collin pulls out his. "She's allowed to have friends," Rob says sternly. "Even friends who are madly in love with her?" Layla says with a pouty face, Collin stayed silent. "That's what I thought. I made you Collin, all of your trust issues are because of me. I know how to push your buttons and right now you want to go to Rylee's and find out what the deal is. Do it, Collin, unleash your inner anger and finally break yourself free." Layla taunts. "You didn't make anything Layla, you know I've said I love you to you countless times, but not a single time did I mean any of them. I know that now because I finally know how it feels to be in love, so you caught a random photo of Rylee and Luka, so what?" Collin yells pausing for a moment, when she doesn't answer he continues. "You expect me to go over there and yell and scream and start throwing hands? I'm not that person, not for you at least I wasn't. There are many reasons they were hugging, or talking alone. None of them would include Rylee cheating on me. Unlike you, she isn't a slut who will f**k any guy that gives her the slightest attention. Oh, and you can come out now Daisy. Go ahead and send that to Rylee, I know you are hiding behind the oak tree. As for you Layla, try all you want to, you'll never convince me Rylee is anything other than faithful to me. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some guy time to finish." Collin speaks sternly, without yelling though I can see he's visibly pissed off, he shoves past Layla as Daisy walks out, Carl takes her phone and the video stops. I take a second to breathe and try to comprehend everything that just happened but it seems like I can't go one day without things going to hell, I tried to stay on Collin as long as I could so he wouldn't hurt himself even more than he already is. I can deal with a few broken ribs because of Ace but I can't push aside and let him be hurt in a fight over me. "WELL, I DIDN'T SEE COLLIN JUMPING IN!" I hear Jason yell from downstairs, I sigh and run to the steps quickly. "Rylee was sitting on me; I wasn't going to push her off," Collin answers calmly. "She's your girlfriend!" Jason yells. "Her anxiety about the situation was also seriously high," Collin says sternly. "Leave Collin out of this," Lucas interjects. I walk down the steps and look at them rolling my eyes. "Collin, lift your shirt," I say sternly. "Why?" he asks me confused. "Lift it," I say again. He lifts his shirt slowly, revealing the bruises from earlier today. "What the f**k happened?" Jake asks. "Ace, for whatever his reasoning was ran into Collin while he was out riding with Alex and Josh. Though you guys have no idea who I'm talking about Luka and Lucas do, broken ribs. So yes, Collin tried to move but I stayed firmly where I was to protect him from any more broken body parts or worse." I explained looking over at Collin who was still holding up his shirt. "Luka when I told you to take your hands off of him it wasn't because I didn't appreciate the thought but was because you were just punched in the face by a grown man. How did you getting into another fight help that?" I asked looking at Luka, he put his head down in response. "Lucas, you are just stupid. I appreciate you standing up for me but I didn't want there to be any fighting, hence why I tried to shut it down before it got that far." I said looking at Lucas as the blood ran down his face. "Now the two idiots with busted-up faces to the bathroom now," I said sternly and walked back up the steps. "She's going to hurt us, isn't she?" Lucas asked Luka. "If you don't get your asses up here I will!" I yelled loudly. "Can I put my shirt down now?" Collin yelled up. "Yes, puppy!" I yelled back loudly hoping he could hear me. I walked into the bathroom and hopped up on the counter, grabbing the peroxide out of the cabinet before turning and sitting down. "Whose first." I sighed; Luka pushed Lucas towards me. "Stay still, don't move," I said quickly before wiping the cotton ball full of peroxide on his face, he inhaled sharply as it began to bubble. "So, you saw Ace huh?" Luka asks leaning against the door frame. "Mhm," I answer barely paying attention. "Did he do it on purpose?" Luka asked. "Running into Collin? Yeah." I answered. "Why?" he asked. "Luka, I have no f*****g idea, okay?" I answered annoyed. "Okay, geez." Luka sighed. "Alright, you're done," I said pushing Lucas away. "Do you want me to stay or?" Lucas asked. "Go, it's fine," I answered as Luka positioned himself between my legs. "You sure?" Lucas asked. "If you think he's going to try something right now your wrong. I'm already pissed off and that would make it worse." I sighed looking at Luka. "Alright," Lucas answered before walking away. "I'm sorry," Luka said lowly as his hands gripped onto the counter. "It's fine Luka, your heart was in the right place." I sighed. "I'm not sure that it was." Luka laughed lightly before I touched the open cut. "Don't start," I warned. "No, not about that. I think I was just mad already about the whole situation going on with Daisy and Maxwell gave me someone to take it out on." Luka explained. "Well, as long as you did it for the right reasons." I laugh. "Everything just got so screwed up Rylee." Luka sighs. "Believe me I know," I respond while trying to clean the cut under his eye. "I miss you, how we used to be," Luka says, looking into my eyes. I glance up at him before focusing back on the cut. "No." I say sternly. "No?" Luka asks. "You were supposed to be my best friend, I was supposed to be yours and somehow we both failed each other so no. You don't get to say things like that." I answered before putting peroxide on his knuckles. "We both failed each other," Luka says as he inhales sharply. "Yeah," I answered before taking a paper towel and wiping down his cuts with water. "Don't move," I said sternly as he tried to walk away. "Why are you doing this?" he asked. "You are hurt and bleeding and I always patch you up," I answered fighting a smile. "It's not your job anymore." Luka scoffed rolling his eyes. "Fine," I said pushing him back and jumping down. "Finish it yourself." I continued as I walked out, I could feel his eyes burning into me as I walked away.  "Hey princess, I got to go," Collin says as I walk towards him. "That's fine, call me when you get home so I know you are safe please." I smile. "I will, goodnight darling." he smiles, kissing me softly. "Goodnight puppy." I smiled kissing him once more. "Bye Rylee," Carl smirks as he and Rob say it in unison. "Bye guys." I laugh as I walk towards the door behind them. "Bye, darling." Collin smiles, rolling his eyes. "Bye puppy." I smile, before closing the door and locking it. "Collin leave?" Lucas asks as he walks up from the basement. "Yeah, I think I'm going to head to bed too," I answer. "You sure?" Lucas asks. "Yeah, tell Melissa she can bunk with me tonight please." I sigh as I start to walk up the steps. "Will do," Lucas says. "Goodnight, Rylee!" Lucas yells. "Night Lucas!" I yell passing Luka on the steps. "You going to bed?" Luka asks stopping on the steps. "Yep," I answer without stopping.   Who does he think he is? Telling me it's not my job to help him. I've been doing it for seven years. Anytime he got into a fight, got hurt, hell even when I hurt him, I still helped clean him up. We may have failed each other as best friends this month but that doesn't mean I still don't love him like he is still my best friend. That doesn't mean I won't be there for him if he calls, help clean him up if he's hurt, push things aside for him if he needs me. I sit on my bed and draw for a while, sketches of Collin and me tonight until I realize it wasn't Collin I was drawing anymore. The first few in very vivid detail where Collin and I but this last one isn't Collin at all. It's Luka.   "Whatcha got there?" Melissa asks taking the sketches out of my hands. "Nothing!" I yell in response. "Is that Luka?" she asks with widened eyes. "Yeah, but it didn't happen and it means nothing!" I yell back. "I know it didn't happen but are you sure it means nothing?" she asks. "I'm sure okay!" I say loudly. "Geez okay..." she sighs. "I'm sorry, I just don't understand how to process anything that's going on in my head." I sigh. "Talk to me about it," she suggests. "It stays between us, okay?" I ask lowly. "Promise." she smiles. "Pinky promise," I say sticking my pinky out, she wraps her around mine. "I think somehow I developed feelings for Luka without even realizing it," I say quickly before I could stop myself. "Well, at least you admit it to yourself finally." Melissa laughs, I give her a weird confused look in response. "You crossed that line a while ago, you just never realized it," Melissa explains. "You should have told me!" I yelled slapping her arm. "Get your mind off of Luka, I want to hear all the juicy details of you and Collin!" Melissa shouts. "There isn't a lot to tell other than the s*x, I mean it was good. Amazing even. The way he moved his body was fantastic. I don't think I've ever had s*x with someone who cared more about getting me off than himself. Even with Lucas." I explained. She was so invested. "And about the kiss with Luka?" she asks, her eyes widening like it was something she was dying to know. "If I tell you, will you drop it forever?" I ask. "Yes!" she yells. "Fine, it was an amazing kiss, I got so many butterflies I couldn't contain them all. I'm not sure how it was even possible to have that many. He kissed me so hard and rough but soft and gentle and I wasn't even sure that was possible, yes, I kissed him back, I could feel my lungs lose the air I was so desperately trying to make last longer. No, I didn't want it to end but I'm glad it did. It gave me a chance to realize how wrong it was even when it felt so right. Then he told me Daisy was pregnant. Was it better with Collin? Yes, I could literality feel my body heat up when he kissed me and I craved more after it was over, I didn't want it to end and I feel like I'm going through withdrawal without his touch." I explained, she looked at me confused, happy, and disappointed by the time I was done. "I know you all wanted me to be with Luka but give Collin a chance, he's an amazing person and I hope you'll love him just as much as I do." I sighed. "You said you love him." Melissa taunted. "Nope, I said liked." I countered. "You said, I hope you'll love him just as much as I do." she teased. "f**k off." I scoffed, drawing my recent encounter on the counter with Luka. "So, you love Collin but are still drawing Luka huh?" Melissa asked. "Just something he said I can't get out of my head. Figure if I draw it maybe it will help." I explain. "What did he say?" she asked, tilting her head. "Nothing important," I answered. "Okay, well I'm going to bed." she sighed. "I'm waiting for Collin to let me know he's home," I said lowly. I continued to draw for a while, the feelings behind what he said surrounding me as the picture looks so clear of what it would have looked like if someone had snapped a picture. My phone started to buzz pulling me out of my trance. "Hey, puppy." I smiled answered the phone. "Hey darling, just wanted to let you know I'm home and headed to bed," Collin said happily. "Good I'm glad," I answered. "You feeling, okay?" he asked. "Yeah, just happy I have you." I smiled. "I'm happy I have you too," he answered happily. "Goodnight puppy," I said lowly. "Goodnight princess," he said lowly, before hanging up the phone. I can get through one night without him by my side, just one day at a time, right? That's how it's supposed to work, take it one day at a time and eventually, you'll be comfortable enough with it for it to work fully. I laid down in the bed pushing my open sketch to the nightstand before closing my eyes, trying to clear my mind of all of my problems, though it never really works I was hoping not to think about all the problems with Collin, Luka, or Max tonight. I'd like to have a nice dream not a f*****g nightmare. Though sometimes I can't tell reality from my nightmares anymore.
