Ping!
The elevator doors open to the 23rd floor, and Micah strutted out almost catwalk style as Elliot continued to take pictures of her from varied angles. The floor was busy with people, who momentarily stopped to look at what seemed to be a fashion shoot at the elevators.
"Ok, babe, can I get just one more with your hand on your hip. Look like the Boss!"

"Beautiful!"
"Wow, Elliot, who's this? A new Belle model?" said a pretty petite woman who approached him and gave him a side hug.
"Nope, she's on your team, hun. I'm just here to escort her to the Queen bee."
"Hi, I'm Micah," she extended a hand.
"I'm Melissa," She said, squeezing her hand, while pointing at her name typed on the employee Pass. "OpEd Assistant."
"Cool,"
"HTBH is that way," said Melissa, pointing down the Hallway.
"Thanks. Laters babe!" the two gave each other air kisses to both cheeks as Elliot pulled Micah along, hooking her arm into his.
"Htbh?"
"Head of The BeeHive, love!" He said with a laugh, snuggly holding her arm in his. "We have to get you up on the office lingo!"
As they made their way down the hall Micah noticed that all the offices had glass walls and doors, so it was easy for people to see them walking by. There was definitely no real privacy here. Elliot got quite a few waves from women and men at their cubicles and offices, like some sort of celebrity. Some of the women, and even some men stared at them jealously as they passed.
"Hey Bro!" said a guy trying to get Elliot's attention, "who's this stunning beauty on your arm today, the next Belle cover?" He was yet another GQ looking guy approaching from a cubicle that was positioned next to a huge glass wall that overlooked the west side of the city. He gave Elliot a fist bump.
Are there any men who don't look like models in this building? Wondered Micah.
"I wish, but not this time. You'll have the pleasure of seeing her every day, she works for the boss woman," he said.
"Cool," he looked at Micah inquisitively. "Welcome to the team".
"Thanks."
He extended a hand, it was warm, wrapped around her small one.
"Robert," he said.
"Micah," she replied.
His phone vibrated. "Beautiful name." He put the phone to his ear, "I've gotta take this call, it's my source for this sports article... nice meeting you, Micah," he gave a wave as he answered the phone. "We'll catch up, Elliot. Brutal game last night!"
Elliot waved, and the two kept walking.
"How are you so popular when you don't even work here?" Micah asked with awe.
"I'm just that kind of guy, I guess," he shrugged. Micah smiled.
"And guess what?" He said seconds later, as they paused in front of room 18, which had the words 'Editor and Chef, Kathleen Hearte on it.
"What?" said Micah, peering down at her phone. It was 10 minutes after the time she was supposed to be there. But she wasn't worried anymore.
Elliot stepped closer to her and lifted her chin up to look straight at him, "You're not the nervous or overly excited newbee that I met in the elevator 10 minutes ago," he whispered with a devilish grin. She could see the jewel toned tint of his deep brown amber colored eyes glinting at her.
"You're right," she said smiling up at him thoughtfully. "How'd you do that?"
"That's that Elliot magic, babe," he said with a slight touch at the tip of her nose. The gesture was endearingly intimate and ticklish. She bit her bottom lip to fight back a laugh.
He smiled at her, "Are you in love with me yet?" He asked, grabbing her hand. Micah rolled her eyes with a feigned look of exasperation, as he opened the door and pulled her in.
