After the car shot out of the garage, Mayhew must have passed out. At any rate, he woke with a jolt, when the car came to a halt. He blinked, took in his surroundings and realised that they were nowhere near the Arena. Instead, Grikov had stopped the car in front of a complex a pre-fab dwelling containers, stacked several stories high. Occasionally, there were gaps, where bushes and trees sprouted. “Where are we?” Mayhew groaned. Grikov switched off the engine and pocketed the keys. “A safe place, at least for now.” He cast a sideways glance at Mayhew. “Can you walk?
