Chapter Twenty-One Adalia sat on the front porch in the dark and stared up at the stars. The night sky was free of clouds, and the streetlamp outside her dad’s house had shorted, so she could see it all. There was Orion’s Belt and the moon, the Southern Cross and Scorpio. Her brother, Michael, had a strong interest in the stars and had lectured her on the constellations for hours on end. As a result, she knew a whole bunch of stuff about the stars she didn’t particularly care for, but it came in handy on a night like this.
