Chapter Seven

Norman lead me to the sofa and I sat on his knee still hugging and sobbing into him "I'm sorry" I said not looking at him.
He looked down I could feel his eyes looking at me. Burning into my head. "What for?" Confusion filled his voice
"for you getting involved and for you now looking after me when I don't deserve it, it's my fault." He pulled back
"it's not your fault Sage! Nothing about this is your fault!" He pulled my head looking up to him. I looked him in the eyes.
"thank you" I barely whispered he just kept looking at me.
We both started leaning in until there was a knock on the door and I started to panic. He could see fear in my eyes as he pulled me closer to him as he walked over to the door with his hand around my waist.
I hid behind the door when he opened it "hey man. What happened to your face?" I recognised the voice.
"Hey come in" Norman said moving out the way. It's was Michael. I ran out to him and he pulled me into a hug and looked at Norman with confusion in his face.
We explained everything and he was massively pissed off. He wanted to go looking for Matt but we had to stop him. He knew it was Matt that caused me all my problems back home but Norman didn't! "But Sage wasn't he the one who—"
"yes" I snapped at him cutting him off and nodding towards Norman and plus who knows what Matt was capable off!
It was now about 4pm I was getting tired because of today's events and Normans face had cleared up a lot whereas I had a cut lip and a black eye with some broken ribs.
"I'm going next door. I'm going to sleep for a couple hours" I said getting up and walking towards the door.
"wait. I'll walk you to your door" Norman said with a worried look
"I'll wait here. I'll be through soon. Lock the door, I've got the spare key" Rooker said getting up to hug me.
"Norman you really didn't have to walk me to my door." I said smiling a little.
"yeah well I wanted to." He returned his smile we got to my door I unlocked it and he came inside locking all my windows and closing the blinds I just chuckled at him. "What you laughing at girl." He said raising his eyebrows at me
"just you and your funny face." I said laughing even more trying to lighten the mood but stopped laughing when I got a pain in my sides "ouch!" I said holding my ribs Norman ran over to me
"you okay?" He said worry in his eyes. It was so sweet that he seemed to care.
"Yeah just my ribs" I said looking into his gorgeous blue eyes.
"That's what you get for laughing" he chuckled picking up Boots. I grabbed a pillow and chucked it at him hitting him in the back of the head "ouch, I'll get you back for that. Maybe not now because of your ribs but I will get you back for that!" He said winking at me I felt my cheeks starting to heat up.
Why were they heating up, he only winked. Goddamn it Sage! I shouted to myself in my head. I walked into the bedroom and looked in the mirror "urg" I looked pathetic.
"You don't look so bad" a soft voice came from behind me as I waked over and got into bed.
" Yeah I do" rolling my eyes pulling the covers up around me.
"ok you do" he smirked and I just laughed and stuck my finger up at him and he laughed even harder.
"Get some sleep Sage, we have work soon." He said before walking over and pulling the covers properly over me, popping Boots down beside me.
He started to walk out "do you have to go" I asked quickly. He seen the fear in my eyes "hold on I'll be right back. I promise." Then he ran out of the room.
NORMANS PROV
she asked me if I had to go. I looked at her and saw fear in her eyes. "Hold on I'll be right back. I promise" I said and ran out of the room and ran next door. "Dude wake me up in about 4 hours. I might end up falling asleep. She's scared and wants me to stay" I say opening the door to see Michael on my sofa. "Help yourself to whatever" I said closing the door and going back into Sage's s apartment.
I went into the room and there she was curled up on the bed with her knees to her chest. She smiled massively as I entered the room and plonked my self beside her. "Nah i think I'll go to sleep for a bit and your bed is comfy" I said smiling to her and she hugged me and rolled over.
"you locked the door right?" I could hear panic in her voice
"yes" I said lying down and just heard a sigh of relief from her.
"I've set my alarm for 4 hours time to get up" she said rollin over and looking at me. Her eyes were just about closing.
"okay I told Michael to wake us up too" I said smiling and she smiled back before falling asleep. I lay for 5 minutes looking at her sleeping. I can't believe what happened to her today. Why do I care so much about a girl that I hardly even know? I sighed and closed my eyes. Falling asleep.
Sages PROV
*4hours later*
*beep beep beep*
I pulled my phone out from under my pillow and turned my alarm off I was still facing Norman and he was facing me he was still asleep. I went to get up but realised he was closer to me and had his arm around me. I smiled to myself and just watched Norman for 5 minutes. He was kinda cute and he helped me today.
My hero I thought smiling "Norman wake up" I said shaking him a little.
"Urg no!" He replied pulling me closer I giggled at him
"Norman come on! I need to pee!" I moaned
"fine" he grumbled and let me go. I got up went for a pee and popped my head out the bathroom door.
"going for a quick shower. Well going to try" I said smiling a fake smile. I took my top off an I was in my underwear I cringed at my body because I wasn't the skinniest but that wasn't the reason the bruises had started to appear on my broken ribs. I can't get my bra off! I put a towel around my body and walked out of the room sighing "I need help!" I said.
Norman was now starting to get up off the bed "with?" His eyes were watching my every move.
"I can't undo my bra" I sighed turning around and showing him the clip. He chuckled and undone it.
"thanks I mumbled walking away throwing my bra on the floor of the bathroom and got in the shower. It was a quick one and I cringed as the water stung my cuts on my face.
No amount of makeup will hide this. I sighed getting out and going out into my room in a towel to get cloths. I grabbed a pair of jeans that were easy to put on and a superman top. And walked over to the bathroom putting my jeans on.
I walked out again with my bra over me with a towel around. "Can you clip this please" I said sighing as he clipped my bra. I felt kinda awkward not being able to do it myself and I walked into the the room and put my top on. Norman said he would get a shower when we got back because he would be covered in makeup.
We walked into his apartment and I said "shh watch this" I picked up a pen and ran over quietly and started drawing on Rookers face and Norman was chuckling!
"ROOKER" I shouted when I was done and he jumped up from where he had fallen asleep.
"s**t I'm sorry I was supposed to wake you's!" He looked at the time.
"It's okay we are leaving now" Norman said to him grabbing a few items.
"yeah I'm going back to my place and Sage here's your spare key and your dad is staying at mine. Something to do with more room"
"okay" I sighed hugging him and walked out.
"Wanna come on my bike?" Norman asked as looked over to me I smiled and nodded my head.
We got to the set and everyone started crowding around us asking what had happened. I shrugged it off and told them it was nothing. Andy came up to get his makeup done by me "I know that's not nothing" he said looking at my face.
I sighed "just a ex okay" I picked up a brush to start applying fake blood.
"your ex boyfriend did this?" He was getting mad at the thought.
"yeah but I'm fine thanks to Norman. There's a long story between me and Matt but it's okay!" He sighed nodded and left. Everyone had their makeup done and I walked over watching them do their thing on set.
After they finished I waited on Norman "hey you sure your okay" Steven asked going to his car.
"yeah I'll be—" I was cut off by a voice behind me.
"she's be fine. I won't let anything happen to her! I'm keeping a close eye on her now" Norman said being protective.
He looked at me and smiled while Steven nodded. We got onto the bike and arrived back to the complex when my car was trashed!
"What the f**k!" I shouted jumping off the bike and running over! It had the word slut written on the side with red spray paint and I'll get you on the bonnet!
I looked at Norman scared and he pulled me into him "come with me. I'll get the cover for the car so no one else see it and we can go to the police tomorrow" I'm not even going to argue.
I nodded and walked up to get the cover as we came back down stairs Andrew pulled up and saw the car "your ex?" He asked raising his brows I nodded and he helped pulling cover over it and then we all headed upstairs.
Norman decided to stay with me for the night as he had to help take my bra off again. I'm not wearing one tomorrow! It's awkward.
He lay down beside me "it'll be okay. I promise" he said pulling himself closer to me
"thank you Norman" I said and kissed him on the cheek he smiled and we both went to sleep as Boots got comfy at the top of my head.
