Marty:
"You guys, these are Steele's boys. His beta Edwin, best tracker Stephan, and best fighter Luis," I introduced his guys to my guys. "This is my beta Nathan, his mate Amy, my beta elder Cameron, and this is Annie. My assistant,"
"Are you and Amy twins?" Edwin asked raising his hand.
"No, we're cousins," I smiled, laying down the blueprints for Reese's lands on the table. I love these guys.
"Crazy, I feel like I'm looking at you as a blonde," Stephan looked her over. We all laughed.
"Yeah, we get that a lot," Amy nodded.
"We are waiting on Sally. She's coming with us to see what they're doing to the bodies. You know if there is any," I said. "Alright, this is how this is going to go. Since Steele demanded you guys to come with me, Edwin and Steve you are coming with me. Luis, you are going with Nate and Sally. I need you three to look for this boy,"
"What's so special about this boy?" Edwin asked.
"I promised his family to bring him home. So if he is dead bring him with you,"
"I am good with dead people. So, I can put him away before you carry him out," Sally informed them, walking in. She has Edwin's undivided attention.
"I get sick with bodies," Nate shook his head, making a face.
"I don't," Edwin was quick to raise his hand. "We can swap,"
"Are you guys cool with that?" I asked and everyone nodded. "Alright, partner. You're on my team again,"
"So what are we doing?" he asked.
"The same thing, I'm really hoping to find this boy alive along with Robbie. Which brings us to our second objective. Sally, I need you to look for an older version of this boy. If you don't find these bodies I want you to look around to see if you can find that USB that was taken out of Kyle,"
"Yes," she agreed.
"Who's Kyle?" Luis asked.
"Kid, they used for Marty's love note," Amy shrugged.
"I'm really good with computers. I can see if there was any USB linked to the computers inside and pull up the files that are linked to it," Edwin announced.
"Nice, I'm liking the swap more and more. Search and rescue for us. Intel from you guys. Ready?" they all nodded. "Good now who is driving?"
"I'll drive," Cam answered.
"Cool,"
The drive to Icy Moon is a long one. We ended up getting there a little early though. Cam had the radio on playing Katy Perry and everyone else is singing. He turned the music off along with all the lights as we pulled up on the road right behind where we're going to break in. We all pulled our masks over our heads as he hid the car between the trees.
"Alright, we have twenty-five minutes to get back to here. Set your watches. Sally, I'll let you know when to start it,"
"Yes alpha,"
As we made our way through the trees my heart began to beat faster and faster. I want to find at least one of these boys alive. My goal is to get them both out of here. The crescent moon gave us a better hiding advantage.
Alright, Sally go. I sent through our pack link.
On it, alpha. she replied as we jumped over the fence.
Nate stayed right behind me as we crawled our way towards the building. I had never broken into anywhere before. I had picked the lock to my bedroom and Nate's when we left our keys inside. It was a trick I had learned from Cam.
He taught me a lot of things my dad would disapprove highly of. The guards were a little ahead of the door not really paying attention. The door had been wide open. Stephan stayed behind to keep watch and stop any interruptions. Most of the cells are empty until we came to the very end of the last row.
"Robbie?" I whispered one of the prisoners walked over into the dim light. They were both in the same cell.
"I'm Robbie," I took a deep breath feeling a little relief.
"Myles?"
"He's sick," Robbie said looking back at the lower bunk bed.
"This is Myles though?"
"Yeah,"
"Get these open," I ordered, looking back at Nate. "Robbie, are you hurt?"
"No, just a little weak,"
"Hungry?" I asked as I began to pick the lock.
"Yeah," he whispered. "Who are you?"
I pointed at the camera as the two cell doors slid open. Robbie helped us take Myles out to Stephan. Stephan had two guards unconscious on the floor when we reached him. We had two minutes to get over that fence.
"One of us is going to have to shift and take Myles with him,"
"My wolf is black," Stephan nodded.
"Good, shift buddy," I instructed. Once he was done I placed Myles on him securing him with Stephan's pants. Once we were over the fence I made them go up ahead while I waited for the rest of them.
Sally?
Headed there now alpha. she answered just as they reached the fence.
"We didn't find your boys alpha Martak," Edwin looked at me with a sad expression.
"I found them. Myles needs medical attention," Sally jumped into the back with Myles and Stephan.
When we were almost home we all let a sigh of relief. Robbie is alive. I can see the resemblance to Devon and Dylan. The eyes. The same angry eyes they have. The ass hole facade to protect the fact that they hide a deep pain inside.
"We did it," Nate sighed making me look away from the boy.
"I got my ass beat," Stephan laughed.
"Me too," Sally and Edwin said at the same time. We all burst into laughter as we stopped in front of the packhouse.
"Using our Batman voices was awesome," Luis continued.
"Yeah, that was weird," Robbie said. "Now, can I know who you are?"
"My name is Alpha Martak Novak. Your dumb ass brothers are looking for you. They'll be here in an hour or so,"
"What if Reese comes here?" Luis asked.
"Reese is a f*****g dead man. We're just going to let him scratch his head for a little while before I kill his ass," I growled. "Get this kid some food, a shower, and some clean clothes. Let's see what's going on with Myles,"
"He needs his medication. I have some stocked here. I need to hook him up to an IV and examine him," Sally rushed as we carried him inside.
She washed her hands before she began to do anything to him. She had him on an IV and a heart monitor after she drew some blood and then the medicine shortly followed. She began to work on the blood work as the heart monitor began to settle down. She reminds me so much of my mom when she's like this. Edwin went up to join everyone else after she promised to text him.
"Sally," she looked up at me and smiled.
"I don't want you to think that I would be mad if you were to move on. I want you to be happy again," a guilty look crossed her features but then she simply nodded. "I know you love my brother but he wouldn't want you to live like this,"
"It's hard to consider anyone else,"
"I know. My mate and his wife come over for brunch sometimes," she sighed shaking her head.
"If anyone deserves to be happy it's you, Marty," she placed her hand over mine.
"I am happy. I will admit that there are times where I want to rip my hair out and curse life for what happened to us but it passes when I see all of you. You guys are my family,"
"Martak, are you alright?" we both turned to see Steele walk in.
"The family is getting bigger, huh?" she smiled.
"Let's hope," I shrugged at her giving her shoulder a light squeeze.
"Yeah, I'm fine. We found him," I called him over. He sighed and smiled at Sally when he went over to the boy.
"What's wrong with him?"
"He has a heart condition that needs to be treated regularly. By the look of him, they've kept him off the medication from the moment they took him. His condition wasn't as advanced as Kyle's which explains why he's survived this long. I have him stable. If anything changes I'll let you know alpha,"
"Alright. Are you okay? I know you guys fought," I said.
"Yeah, Luis and Edwin took most of the damage," she shrugged touching her face."Edwin has the files,"
"Okay, thank you. You did a really good job," I complimented.
"Thank you for taking me out. It is always an adventure when you do," I laughed.
"It runs in our family," she nodded. I couldn't help it I had to go over and hug her which was returned immediately. The hopeful look in her eyes makes me happier than I have been in a long time. Mathew would be so proud of her.
