After yesterday's fiasco with Noah's hurtful words, Damien decided to call in the heavy cavalry. Half an hour later, Adrien, Jaxon, and Brody stood outside the door with everything you can imagine; pizza, candy, snacks, soft drinks, alcohol for us when the kids went to bed, and much more.
They understood that we all needed it after Damien told them about what Noah had said and how my reaction to it had been. No one thought it was strange that I reacted as I did; I don't think any parent wants to hear such a thing from his or her child; that it abandons his child voluntarily.
