"Lukas"
Luka's nightmares ended with the moon's rise. As a werewolf shifter, he'd learned control – till Lena entered. The moon's pull twisted him, he almost lost it.
Lena, a celestial hunter, hunted him. "You're the last," she said. Lukas's pack was gone, killed by hunters. Her aim: protect moon's balance.
Lukas laughed – balance meant nothing. Survival did. Lena's eyes narrowed – she'd seen his kind before. Broken, they'd shattered.
Moonrise neared. Lukas's muscles ached, senses sharp. Lena's scent – jasmine, silver – cut through. He growled, instinct raw.
Lena drew her blade, gleaming silver. "I'll help you, Lukas. Don't fight." The moon's call drowned her words...
Lukas's vision blurred, body contorting. Lena's voice was a distant echo – "Stay with me." Pain ripped through, bones shifting.
Lena pinned him down, silver blade at his throat. "Calm, Lukas. Breathe." Moonlight burned, his scream lost.
Shift took him. Fur burst, senses roared. Lukas fought – wolf now. Lena's grip tightened – she'd done this before.
Wolf-Lukas snarled, instinct screaming "kill." Lena whispered – "Balance." Silver blade pressed, he stilled.
Lena's eyes locked – "Trust." Wolf-Lukas growled... and listened.
Lena slowly released, hand on wolf-Lukas's fur. "You're strong," she said. "Moon's pull won't control you."
Wolf-Lukas sniffed, wary. Lena's scent – jasmine, silver – no threat now. He pulled back, paws silent.
Lena stood, blade away. "Your pack's gone. But you have a purpose." Lukas shifted human, pain sharp.
Lukas glared – purpose? Lena handed clothes. "Moon's out of balance. You can fix."
Hunters killed his pack. Lukas's eyes narrowed – fix? Or die?
Lukas dressed, eyes on Lena. "How?" he growled.
Lena's face was calm. "Moon's tied to earth's pulse. Hunters disrupted it. You... can rebalance."
Lukas laughed – bullshit. Lena stepped closer. "You're the last shifter. Moon needs you."
Hunters wanted him dead. Lukas's hands curled – use it. Lena nodded – she'd help.
"Let's hunt," she said. Moon overhead pulsed...
Lukas's eyes gleamed, wolf stirring. "Hunt what?"
Lena's face was set. "The imbalance. Hunters left markers – find them."
Night air sharpened, wolf-Lukas sensed it. Markers led to an old church, abandoned outskirts.
Lena crept, blade ready. Lukas followed, senses raw. Inside, shadows moved...
A figure turned – hunter, eyes cold. "Last shifter," it sneered. Lena attacked, blades clashed...
Lukas's wolf roared free.

Lukas's wolf roared free. The hunter fired, silver bullet whipping past. Wolf-Lukas lunged...
Hunter's scream cut short. Lena's voice – "Lukas, stop!" Wolf-Lukas pinned the hunter, jaws at throat.
Lena pulled him off, breathless. "Not yet." Hunter crippled, whispers spilled – "Others... coming."
Lukas shifted human, eyes feral. Lena handed clothes – "We move." Moon overhead pulsed...
Church burned behind. Lukas's face hardened – others were coming. Lena nodded – they'd be ready.
Lukas dressed, anger simmering. "Others?"
Lena's face was grim. "Hunters, more than one. We need intel."
Motorcycle roared to life – Lena's. "Ride with me." Lukas mounted, wolf senses on high.
Night blurred, wind whipped. Lukas's arms tightled around Lena – jasmine, silver, safety.
Destination: Elian's – shifter ally, tech wizard. Lena's words – "He'll know."
Arrived. Elian, scarred hacker, eyed Lukas. "Moon's child. Thought you were extinct."
Lena briefed – hunters, imbalance, Lukas's role. Elian whistled – "Big league. You need proof."
Lena nodded – "Elian's hacking for it." Lukas's gut said – time's short.
Elian tossed keys – "Abandoned lab. Find proof." Lukas's eyes met Lena's – move.
Lukas pocketed the keys, determination etched on his face. "Lab's location?"
Elian's grin was crooked. "Told you – abandoned. Sector 4, building 7. Crippled security, but..."
Lena's eyes locked with Elian's. "But what?"
Elian's tone dropped. "Rumors. Hunters testing something there. Bad news."
Lukas's jaw clenched. "Like?"
Lena's hand on his arm – "Let's focus on proof first."
Motorcycle roared back, night swallowing them. Sector 4's neon faded – building 7 loomed.
Lena's voice, wind-whipped – "Split up. Secure perimeter."
Lukas nodded, wolf senses screaming. Lab doors creaked – inside, shadows...
A voice whispered – "Welcome, Lukas." Trapped.
Lukas's wolf instincts kicked in. "Lena, trap!"
Lena dropped, sliding into shadows. A dozen hunters emerged, guns trained.
The voice laughed – "Dr. Patel's waiting."
Lukas growled, eyes shifting. Hunters fired – tranquilizers. Lukas lunged, dodging barely.
Lena burst from shadows, blades slicing. Hunters fell, Lukas tore through rest.
A figure in white – Dr. Patel. "Imbalance fixed... with you."
Lukas pinned Patel – "What'd you do?"
Patel's smile was cold. "Moon's power... harnessed. You, Lukas, are the key."
Lena's blade pressed Patel's throat. "Explain."
Patel's eyes gleamed. "Shifters tied moon to earth's pulse. We... disrupted."
Lukas's grip tightened. "Fix it."
Patel laughed – "Can't. Moon's dying. Your kind's end begins."
Lena's eyes flashed – "Lukas, stop him."
Lukas's wolf roared – snap. Patel's scream cut short.
Lena pulled Lukas back – "We need answers!"
Security breach alarms blared. "Move!" Lena dragged Lukas – escape.
Jeep burst through lab doors – Elian's voice – "Get in!"
Lukas and Lena dived in, Elian gunned it. Hunters' bullets pinged off.
Elian's grin was wild. "Got what we need – recordings, data."
Lena's face was tight. "Patel?"
Lukas's eyes were feral. "Won't talk."
Silence fell. Elian's tone sobered. "Moon's dying, guys. Real."
Lena's jaw set. "Fix it."
Elian nodded – "Need shifter power. Lukas..."
Lukas's gaze snapped – "I'm in."
Night blurred past. Destination: ancient site, shifter ruins.
Lena's eyes locked Lukas's – "This ends tonight."
