Driving in the dark road where no other people can be seen. Only them and the beasts who are following them occupy the width of the whole road.
“Why are they following us?” Mori hissed through his gritted teeth, “What do they want from us?”
Too many questions flood the young veterinarian’s mind. But he can’t let them take over his consciousness. Griping the steering wheel so tight that his knuckles almost cut its blood supply, turning pale.
Another gunfire was heard until Luke shouted from behind, “I am out of ammo!”
“What-!” He paused when he notices, that the fuel meter is close to being empty, and they are still far away from the second city before they could arrive where Mori lives.
“Out of Fuel!” He shouted back.
