Chapter Twenty-Four I’m back in the restaurant, the Uzbek delicacies I’ve consumed sitting like frozen cement in my stomach as a single horrific thought circles through my mind. Nero is going to die. I leap to my wobbly feet, snatch my phone out of my blazer pocket with a shaking hand, and summon myself a ride. Nero is going to be betrayed by Claudia, the woman he’s fighting so hard to save. Luckily, there are a ton of car services nearby, so one arrives before I sprint on foot to JFK. Jumping in, I bribe the driver to hurry.
