The meeting

We took all our seats in the room. "Charlie will take her father's place as leader of the vampires. Since her father is in the dungeons of the Castle." Oliver started the briefing. "King Marcus and Sheila will be on the side of the wizards and Princess Valeria will hear and speak from the side of the wolves." He finished his briefing and went next to Amelie. "Well, Charlie, do you know why your father's in the dungeons?" My question haunted her and she looked at me awkwardly. "Hope..." "I told you, I'm Princess Valeria." I just interrupted her, she addressed me by my first name. We're not friends. We never were. "I'm sorry, Princess Valeria. My father faces the charge of treason for yesterday's attack on the Castle." She said she just cleared her throat with a low and broken voice. "No, he's in the dungeons because he was about to kill you. I promised my people I wouldn't let anyone hurt my people. Plus, his loyal vampires tried to attack me. And they would if Marcus didn't stopped them." I took a warm look at Marcus. The others looked at me reluctantly. Charlie lowered her teary eyes and looked at the papers in front of her.  "Tell me, why did he try to kill you?" "He... he's not going to be able He didn't expect you to go back to the castle. So when I went and informed him of your official return, he didn't believe me and he got old. He was disappointed in me. He's always me when he's frustrated.''  She muttered the last part with frustration in her voice. "His sentence will be irrevocable. He'll stay in the dungeons until we find the traitor among us. Do you all agree with that?" I asked since they're all members of the royal council. Everyone shook their heads in agreement with me. Charlie looked at me and shook her head reluctantly. "Does anyone know what these horrible creatures were?" Asked. Alki's back on my mind. "I'm sorry, Alki, I wouldn't hurt him. I don't know what's wrong with me. Our powers are increasing day by day and it's hard to control them." "You can't lose control. It's dangerous for everyone around you, even me." My thoughts with Alki distracted me from the board. Marcus' gentle touch turned me into reality, as if he were reading my thoughts.  "We need him to continue. His attraction is our strength. Don't forget that, princess." Alki ended my thoughts and calmed down with Marcus' touch. I shook my head to get my thoughts out. I pulled my hand away from his touch. And I cleaned my throat. "As I said, these creatures are creations of black magic. There are few magicians who do black magic. In the 16th century there was a magician who did such powerful magic," Marcus continued. "He was good, I knew him.! Until black magic became his obsession." The revelation about his age made me look at him, and I thought about his words. "_I've been waiting for you a long time!_" He's 400 years old and seems to be only 18. He's suffered in his loneliness for a long time. "Our conclusion is that the traitor is cooperating with him." Aunt Sheila said. We looked at each other. And go on. "That means war will break out if we don't find the traitor soon." "Let everyone know that from tomorrow we will all begin intensive training. We'll secure the firewalls with more patrols. Marcus and Aunt Sheila, I want all the wizards to put shields on. Charlie, vampires will patrol with wolves." I said when Alki helped me organize the teams. "Charlie, can I trust you?" I asked her in a stern voice. I didn't mean to, but I don't trust her. "I won't let you down." She said confidently, but she seems scared. "I'll contact other herds to help us." We finished the board and stood up from our seats to make everyone do what was assigned to them. Aunt Sheila approaches me as we leave the room. "My dear child, how you've matured. Your parents would be proud.'' She said and hugged me tightly. "Thank you, Auntie, I missed you!" I told her without getting out of her arms. "Marcus is what I imagine? I saw you in there. He was there when you needed him. After the attack, when you passed out in his hands. He took you in his arms and led you to your room. He asked me to take off your dress and he came out of the room. When I left your room, he refused to leave your side, not for a moment." She said when I came out of her arms and stroked my face. "Wait till you wake up. He's been looking for you for a long time." She said in a deep breath, he hugged me once again and walked through a gate with red and yellow sparks.  I need to know that! I thought and turned my gaze to the tall figure of the man who enjoys the fresh air with deep breaths. I approached him and wrapped my arms around him. The warmth of his body causes chills and numbness in my muscles. He wrapped my hands tighter in his. "I'm here. You don't have to wait anymore." I whispered while my chest touched his back. As soon as he heard me, I felt his muscles relax, he let go of his grip. He turned to my arms and the wonderful, sweet and mysterious look against mine. He gently put his hands on his face. "I know," he said. And he closed the distance between us with his deep pink lips touching mine.
