I keep staring at this man who just a few seconds ago was a giant wolf. “What?” he asks “You know. You're disrobed, unclothed, butt naked. Nash, you’re naked… as the day you were born.” I said, trying my best not to blush at the thought. “Oh. This is normal.” He replies nonchalantly “Normal? This is far from being normal for me. You broke your promise to not flash me!” I scolded “Hay, I didn’t promise I wouldn’t flash you, and besides, you’re the only one who broke their promise. You pinky swore not to run for the hills and then raced for them, literally, with my car.” I huffed out exasperated at his very true statement, I had no come back.
“Are we seriously going to sit here and pretend you’re not naked?” I ask with my eyes still closed. I waited for a response but never got one “Nash?” I called out “I swear if this man left me here he’s going to be the one racing for the hills.” I mumbled under my breath as I slowly began to open my eyes. Awesome, he’s gone. What kind of human leaves a teenage girl alone in the forest? Well I guess on a technicality, he isn’t really human. I look up the hill debating if I should try to get on the road I was on or if I should just wonder around here to try to find a way out. I decide on the latter, I’d be stupid to climb the hill knowing I don’t have the muscle strength to carry me all the way considering I don’t like to exercise. I pull out my phone to see if I have any reception, but of course I don’t but it was worth the try.
After an hour of aimlessly wondering around I have come to the conclusion that I’m more lost than I was before. Now before you judge me for being a complete and total i***t, I would like the chance to defend my actions. You see, if I had stayed put I probably would’ve fallen prey to some savage animal. I know that my chances of being some beast’s meal have increased. All I hope for now is that when said beast finds me, he will appreciate me for the damn good meal that I am. “Oh believe me, I will.” I hear the smug voice of a soon to be dead man. Violence is not the way! Violence is not the way! “I could definitely appreciate a goo-” f**k it. I slapped him right in the face “Ow, what was that for?” I punched him in the throat “I shouldn’t have asked.” He gasped and as I raised my fist again, only this time aiming for his nose, he grabbed my fist. He stared at me with dark pools of black in his eyes, his canines had extended by now. “Touch me and I’ll bite you.” Nash mimicked my words, I pulled out of his grip, “Explain yourself!” I demand but he didn’t seem to like that. He took a threatening step closer to me and yet I didn’t back down, even though he could tear me to shreds like paper.
“You don’t scare me.” I challenged “And why’s that?” he asked as his voice became deeper “because you won’t hurt me, at least not physically.” I say with a sigh, at this point I knew that the man talking to me wasn’t Nash. It was the voice of that wolf, I knew it. It was in the way that his face softened at my words, it was in the way he touched his heart as if he had shared my pain I experienced that night. “Why did he do it?” I ask the beast he looks down as if his heart broke further by my question “I wish I could tell you little princess.” He said sadly “what was the purpose of showing me all of this today uh. Sorry I don’t know your name.” I said shyly “Zoltan, and I think we’ll leave the questions for tomorrow. Okay?” I knew he wasn’t asking so I held out my hand with my pinky extended. Zoltan examined my hand not knowing how to respond to my gesture, I grabbed his clawed hand and wrapped his pinky around mine “Promise me you’ll tell me tomorrow.” I say looking pleadingly into those dark eyes “I promise we will tell you tomorrow.” Zoltan said as he pulled me closer to him. He leaned down and sniffed my neck and laid a light kiss on my cheek.
