CHAPTER 7

657 Words
After the weekend I spent with the girls confessing my secrets, I thought long and hard about every encounter Nash and I had. My mind was made up… today is Monday and I will find out what his deal is. With that in mind, I decided to pick my outfit extremely carefully. I had to look good. Why? Because… okay I don’t have a reason other than having a crush on the man, sue me. I quickly took out a long black flannel shirt to wear as a dress paired with my black combat boots and my black denim jacket. I quickly added a belt over the shirt to accessorise. I heard Sarah calling from downstairs and hurriedly put the clothes on and tied my hair up into a cute messy ponytail. As I rush downstairs I see Sarah staring down at her phone with a serious expression on her face. Something must really be bothering her because she does not look happy at all. “Sarah, you ready to go?” I ask and she looks at me with a blank stare as she gives me a curt nod and walks straight out the front door. Damn, that was cold. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… The whole day had passed and I was yet to see the infamous Nash Hale. That’s when I hear that voice of his, I was hushed as he whispered to someone “I don’t know what to do. She’s my mate and Luna, I have to have her.” I look through the gap of the classroom door to see who he was talking to. I see Nash sitting down on a desk talking on the phone. “Dad, we’ll talk later.” He says and hangs up. Mate? Luna? What the hell was this man on about? “Why am I not surprised that you’d be caught eavesdropping?” OH s**t! I THINK I’VE BEEN SPOTTED! “You may come in Laney.” I slowly enter the room “Shut the door please.” I do as he says once again “And to what do I owe the pleasure?” he asks and I quickly remember the reason I had been looking for him “Well… I have a bone to pick with you mister!” I say as I storm up to him pointing my finger. “Oh really? And what might the problem be?” Ah! As if he doesn’t know! “You! You Nash, you’re my problem. What’s your deal huh? Flirt with young girls, play with their emotions, and mess with their heads? What game are you playing Nash?” by now I’m fuming while Nash sits there utterly shocked at my rage but quickly recovers “I can assure you Laney, I’m not playing games with you or your feelings.” He reassures. “Then what is this? Why are you flirting with me? What do you want with me?” I cry out “Laney I’m flirting with you because I want you, I want to be with you. Please, I know we don’t know much about each other but give me a chance.” He pleas “Why me?” I ask as a tear slips from my eye “there’s nothing special about me.” I say as more tears escape at my sudden rush of emotion. Nash rushes over to me and engulfs me in a warm hug “That’s where you’re wrong Laney, you are more than special. You’re the one.” I look up to Nash to see his eyes too are welled up with tears “Please Laney, say yes.” He pleas and I begin to back away from him “I…I need time to think.” I say as I run out of the room not once looking back, I knew that if I looked back nothing would be able to stop me from running back into his arms.
