Dennise was woken up by a phone call on a tuesday morning.
"Hell- *yawn"
"Besh! Tulog ka pa?!" Ella didn't hear Dennise answer so "Bumangon ka na jan! Kanina pa tumatawag ang secretary mo sakin hindi ka daw niya macontact"
"Besh, its so early for me to hear you nagging"
"If you don't want me to nag then hurry up, fix yourself and go to that goddamn hospital!"
"Okay okay. Gosh! Don't shout"
"Oh btw, kumusta ka na?"
"I'm fine"
"Hay nako. Linya yan ng mga taong sawi. Siguro magdamag ka nnman umiyak kaya di ka nakagising ng maaga"
"Besh tama na. Pano ako makakamove on nyan kung parati mo nlang binabalik"
"Eh parati mo lang rin sinasaktan ang sarili mo eh. Besh please, tama na"
"I know. Sige na maliligo na ako. Nalate tuloy ako lalo dahil sayo. Bye"
Dennise went straight to her bathroom and took a shower. Dressed up formally like doctors do. Then went straight to her car and drove herself to Makati Med.
"Good morning doc" Her secretary, Tasha, greeted her upon entering the office.
"I'll do the rounds in a while, please prepare my things" Den ordered Tasha.
Dennise went inside her office then placed her bag on the table. Wore her lab coat and tied back her hair. Tasha handed her a clipboard and is ready to go. While doing the rounds, patients and their family can't help but notice the physicians beauty.
"Doc, wala ka pa bang asawa?" Asks the mother of her patient.
"Wala pa nman po mam" Den kindly responded but she really hates it when people ask her things about that topic.
"Talaga doc? Pwede ko po ba kayong ligawan?" the young boy said in excitement.
"Hahaha. Magpagaling ka muna then, we'll see" Den said with a smile "Sige po aalis na po ako, marami pa po akong patiente eh"
"Bye doc" the family said while waving.
Dennise's phone rings while walking her way to her next patient. She checked who was calling and it was Ella.
"Besh, I'm working"
"I know, I know but I'll make this quick"
"Ano ba yun?"
"Maglulunch kami ni Fille ngayun, are you comming?"
"Sige sige. Just text me the place, I really need to go bye"
She hang the phone and entered a private room. She saw a little boy connected to complicated apparatus just to prolong his life.
"Goodmorning doc den" the little boy's mom greeted.
"Goodmorning maam. Goodmorning Ylai. How do you feel?"
"I feel like dying" he coldly said.
Ylai has lupus. And because of his young age, it is very dangerous for him to undergo surgery. He does his dialysis two times a week every month and takes maintainance drugs.
"Are you taking your medicines regularly?" Asks Den but didnt hear an answer from Ylai so she seeks the mom's eye for answer.
"He says he doesn't like the taste of the medicine so he never takes it. Sometimes, he throws them away when we are not guarding him" the mom said in concern.
"I hate those medicines! They taste bitter and I can't even take any sweet food to atleast mask the taste!" Ylai reasoned.
"You see this Ylai?" As Den shows a lollipop "This is the most expensive lollipop in the world. And it tastes superb" Ylai just gives her a confused look "And for sure, this would taste best if you would enjoy eating it"
"Can I have it?" Ylai with pleading voice and hope in his eyes.
"Only if you take your meds. I'll know that by the results so better start today if you want your results to improve."
"I'll do my best doc!" Ylai cheered.
Dennise didn't notice but the mom really appreciated the doctor's kindness towards his son. Not only his son but to all her patients.
After doing the morning rounds, Dennise goes back to her office to do some paperworks. And because she's too intimate with her papers she didn't notice her phone ringing.
"Besh! Kanina pa ako tumatawag pero di ka nman sumasagot! Asan ka na ba?" Ella blurted when Dennise answered the 16th call.
"Sorry, hindi ko napansin eh. Nasa hospital pa ako, san ba kayo?"
"TGIF sa may greenbelt lang. We'll order for you, what do you want?"
"Rigatoni nlang. Sige alis na ako"
"Okay. Ingat besh, bye"
"Salamat"

Dennise entered the restaurant and scanned it whole. A wave from a far away table caught her attention. It was Ella and Fille waving for her to come.
"Sorry I'm late. Traffic kasi eh" said dennise while kissing both her friends cheek.
"Its okay Den. Its been a long time since we last met, kumusta ka na?" Fille asked.
"Oka-" Ella immediately cuts Dennise's lie.
"She's not okay Fille" then smirked.
"Ooooh. May utang ka palang kwento sakin! Lets talk about it" Fille excitingly said.
"Hay nako Fille, its a long story" Dennise while rolling her eyes.
Before Fille and Ella could protest, the waiter arrived with their food. Ella of course, was taken to fairyland when she ate. Fille and Den just laugh off the sight.
While eating, Dennise scanned the restaurant and saw a familiar face. Its as if all her blood went up to her head and it was boiling hot. Her expression immediately changed and stood up harshly.
"Where are you going besh?" Ella asks.
Dennise didn't bother to answer Ella instead she went straight to a table where two women were silently eating. She slaps one of the girls.
"WHAT THE HELL!" a tall morena girl stands immediately.
"Don't worry, JUST TRUST ME!" Dennise sarcastically replied.
"Whats happening?!" the other girl stands but is not facing dennise.
Because Dennise is a doctor she already observed and concluded that the other girl has lost its capability of sight.
"Nothing baby, c'mon lets go" she pushed den lightly to pass and walked next to the girl and offered her arm.
"Are you okay?" the girl asked while the tall morena girl is guiding the girls hand to her arm.
"Yup. Sorry about what you heard earlier. Lets go" the morena girl said to her fellow and finds their way out without looking back at Dennise.
"This is what you're good at, escaping! Run before I kill you myself!" shouts Dennise to the two.
"Besh! Ano ba?! Nakakahiya ka! Umupo ka na nga" as Ella tries to get Dennise back to their table because people started looking at them.
"Wow Dennise, I do not know you anymore. Really." Fille unbelievably said.
"Look girls, there a deep meaning behind these ruckus" Dennise said after she calmed down.
"And what is it? Siya ba yung dahilan kung bakit hindi ka okay?" Fille with brows wiggling.
"Ui besh! Bat di ka nagkukwento! Tampo na ako!" Ella while pouting.
"Shut up both of you! Its not like that! Urgh!" Dennise irritatingly said.
She told the story behind her slap to that girl. Dennise said that the tall morena girl kidnaped her away from LA's engagement party. She also told them what the morena girl said to her.
"Woah, is this true? Baka gawa gawa mo lang to besh ah" Ella and took a spoon of her cake.
"Hey. I'm telling the truth here" Den crossed her arms.
"I think she did the right thing. Dapat nga magpasalamat ka pa eh" Fille knowingly said.
"Wow Fille, are you really my friend?!" Den said in disbelief.
"Fille is right tho. That hot chick really saved your life. Baka nagpakamatay ka na dahil jan sa unrequited love mo for LA" Ella added "Kaya sure akong medjo nabawasan yang sakit na dapat mong natanggap nung gabing yun"
"Whatever" Dennise rolled her eyes to the two.
"I wish I can see her again. She's a real life knight in shining armor!" Fille exclaimed.
"You're right! And not to mention, she's suuuuper hooooot!" Ella while fanning her hand over her face.
"Of course not! She's a moron!"
