Talia's POV
The doctor escaped my murderous grip by the skin of his teeth, after which he threatened to 'put her down' with some injections.
I quietened because I did not trust anything here and I didn't want to be tampered with. I was with three strange men who could have their way with me and do whatever, if they wanted.
"What happened?" Alpha asked him in a much calmer voice than mine.
"He was poisoned." My ears rang immediately when he said that. How?! Who could've done that? We hadn't even eaten today. Our first food was supposed to be when he was back. "But there's no food in his system, so we are suspecting it was slipped in his drink." The doctor explained further. It still made no sense that someone who hadn't eaten or drank anything died from food poisoning.
