Death II

625 Words
Eclair found herself standing in a land of white, facing a large and feathery white reptile that could only be called as a 'dragon'. A full moon is shining brightly behind it. And an unholy red of a mountain peak. The reptile was crouching before her, icy blue eyes regarding her silently. A gust of cold wind violently showered her with snow. Her messy black hair flew in sync with the howling wind that block her hearing. It was a bizarre experience so she merely stared at it. Unsure of what was happening. That was then the memories of her car tilting, crashing into the railings of the bridge and showering them with glass, pavement and play props inside, came flooding back in her mind. Reverie and Arthur’s bodies bouncing like a ragdoll with the impact. A pain like no other blossoming in her lower body. And Lance…Lance shielding her small body from most of the damage. Éclair could still feel the desperate way he held her. There was blood, oil and then water. Still Lance held her. “I’m dead, aren’t I?” She asked the dragon before her. How unexpected, she thought oddly calm. The ground of white rumbled beneath her bare feet, a deep laughter echoing into the great expanse of white and she found out it was the dragon laughing. “Is that really important?” Éclair narrowed her eyes at the dragon, offended. Can’t this dragon give her a moment to process everything that just happened? And it laughed again, ground rumbling. Its eyes twinkling. "So it is you?" It said with a deep voice resounding deep in her mind. The dragon straightened out from its crouching position, stretching its long sinewy neck as it looked down on her. "Ahhh~ How long has it been?" “What are you talking about?” Where is she anyway? Where is Lance? Reverie? Arthur? Her eyes wildly search around her, finding no one in the expanse of white. It was dark. She should have trouble seeing things even with the help of moonlight yet she can see clearly the snowflakes falling. Shouldn't her friends be here too? They're supposed to be with her. Aren’t they? "You attached yourself easily into mortal lives. Too easily. You always do. I wonder." The dragon c****d its head. Its eyes boring into her entire being as Eclair stared right back. She was way too confused to turn her head away from such being. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. She doesn't understand how it was talking to her when its mouth had remain closed. Nor what the hell it was talking about. And it never bothered to answer her questions. What a rude dragon. This is definitely not heaven, she concluded. Nor hell. "Well, this prove to be interesting! Very well! I shall allow it!" The dragon laughed again, stretching its massive wings. The wind started to howl real hard, Eclair had to cover her eyes as it violently chuck snowflakes onto her face. The weirdest thing among other things was she doesn't feel that cold. She feel the cold but not the biting and wet cold of a snow should have. Especially when she's being pelted by them. "Stop!" Eclair gritted her teeth, feet digging on the snow as she braced her whole body from the onslaught of strong winds. Winds that was strong enough to blow her off. She got a light and small body for fucksake! "Remember my name, my dear voyager! For I have granted your wish and gave you my blessing!" It roared, making her scream as she loses her balance and Eclair tipped backward. The wind whisking her away just like as she imagine it to be. “Ahhh!” "My name is....!"
