Past Mares

Bella laid on the bed crying untill she fell unwittingly asleep. Or in a way to describe how she actually felt it, she felt herself drifting to another reality. In this reality, her parents were still alive. She was sitting with them somewhere in the meeting room. The daughter of an Alpha and a Luna. She was happy but there was something wrong or about to go wrong. A disaster. First it began with the Beta of the pack coming to whisper something into the ears of her father. The Beta then left and never came back. Then something followed. A crashing sound that sent everyone into disarray. "Bella, go inside" her father called out, his tone serous, piercing into her ears. She stood up from her chair, but did not move an inch further away. She wanted to see what was going on. Four men dressed in all black, in clothes that flowed freely back and seemed to have been designed by a witch, walked in with terrible grace. Bella could not recognize them. They all had menacing smirks spread across their grim faces. Their eyes glared at the family, and glared past them with not a sign of trying to look away. Bella found her body shaking, captivated by the aura that followed the men. Her heart skipped a beat, she knew who it was that was coming towards her. "Who are you people and why did my guards let you in?" asked the Alpha. One of them chuckled. The one in the middle. "You need not worry about your guards, dear Alpha. They have all been taken care of. You should rather worry about yourself. As for who we are, my name is Astor, and we are rogues and have come to take over your pack. You either surrender it right now, or we kill you, your Luna, and your precious daughter sitting right next to you." Bella could remember. This was not a different reality. This was her past. How it all happened before she found her self washed up at the river bank. "Rogues?" Her father stood up from his throne, an imposing large man with a figure that would intimidate anyone. "Do you know who I am? I am Joseph Redsworth the mighty. For years I have been the Alpha of this pack, and my name is known far and wide, how dare you come here and threaten me?" His body shed it's skin and clothes, and soon her father had become a towering red wolf, growling and bustling with fury. He was fast as he attacked. The men transformed as well. All four of them. The fight was short and brutal. The sound of growls filled the air, and blood spilled on the floor. Soon the alpha was lifeless. His chest had been pierced. "Dad!" Bella called out. Tears filled her eyes. "He is dead" one of the men said. "And if you are lucky, you will be next." "Bella, run" her mother, the Luna told her. "I will hold them up for you." "Mom. Please don't do this. Did you see what happened to dad? They will kill you." "Run. As long as you survive, the Redsworth legacy can live on." Immediately after saying this, she charged on for the attack, leaving her daughter confused. She could not bear to see her mother killed so she ran away. But soon there were on her trail. She felt something pierce her side from behind, leaving a gash. Blood spilled out of her. The pain was troubling, but still she was able to move on. She heard their laughter and growls behind her as she ran, till she could hear the sound of water falling in considerably large quantities. She was close to the waterfall. She kept moving till she finally saw it. But by that time, she had already been surrounded by them. Nowhere left to turn, she let her self fall into the gliding current of racing water, resigning her fate to wherever it would take her. And it seemed to had taken her somewhere. Just a day ago she was washed up at a river bank, bleeding. Now she was on a bed, screaming her lungs out after waking up from her dream. "I need to get out of here" she said to herself at once, eyeing the window. Her eyes glittered with promise and daring. She jumped up and ran towards it, looking down and seeing just how high up the room she was in, was. The height was yet another factor to her. She wavered back in trepidation of whether or not she would be able to pull it off. She looked around the room, scoring once again for whatever she could use to get away from the place. She spotted the bed sheet and made a wry smile to herself. She pulled the bedsheet off the bed and knotted it into a long rope. She tied one end of the bedsheet to the window, and let one side of it down to the floor. "Harry, or Harris" she said to herself, "I really like you but I need to leave this place immediately. I can'y stay here. It's a been a really good time with you, but bye." She let herself down by grabbing the bedsheet and stepping on the walls of the building, walking down vertically. Every now and then her eyes would come face to face with the ground and she would be seized with fear and almost trip off and fall. "Dear moon goddess, please don't let me fall." It was a coincidence. As soon as she heard those words, she heard the sound of the bedsheet getting torn. She could already feel the tears well up in her eyes. The next thing she knew was that she was falling down to the floor. Like how she fell in the waterfall, she immediately let go of her fears and became one with the air, and accepting her fate to die. She landed soon. But it was not the hard floor where she expected to find herself splattering on. She landed into the arms of a man.
