Chapter: The King's Wrath
I sat there, my legs crossed, my posture oozing power as I watched him—Rao—on his knees, bound by ropes. The room around us was luxurious, but right now, all I could focus on was the man in front of me, groveling like a helpless animal.
"Boss... Boss, just give me one chance. Just one chance. I swear, I won’t disappoint you," he begged, his voice trembling with fear. It was pathetic. His desperation made my blood boil.
I didn’t say a word. I stood up, taking my time, letting him feel the weight of my presence. Without any hesitation, I kicked him hard in the chest. He flew backward, hitting the floor with a thud. The sound of his pain echoed in the otherwise quiet room.
"There’s only one thing for a mistake, and that’s punishment. Not forgiveness," I growled, stepping closer to him. "And you dared to try and deceive me?" I couldn’t help but laugh. But it wasn’t a laugh of amusement—it was cold, cruel, and terrifying.
The man’s face turned pale as he realized the gravity of his situation. I could feel the air around us change, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. I wasn’t laughing anymore. The weight of my fury was pressing down on him, suffocating him.
"Rao, you’ve made a huge mistake, thinking you could deceive the King, and the King would just let you go." My voice was low, filled with deadly calm. "Now, face the consequences."
I pulled a sharp knife from my pocket, the blade glinting in the dim light. His eyes went wide with terror as I stepped toward him.
He tried to move back, his fear palpable, but I wasn’t stopping. There was no escape for him now.
