EPISODE 9 Written by Adeola ✍️ ________________ --- I opened my eyes slowly… Everything was white. The ceiling. The light. The walls. For a moment, I thought I was dead. Then I heard Blessing's voice calling my name. "Janet… you're awake! Thank God!" I blinked, confused. "Where… where am I?" "The hospital," she said, eyes swollen from c=ying. "You fainted last night after v0miting those worms… it was horrible. The nurses said you’ve been unconscious for almost 8 hours." I touched my belly. It felt sore. Heavy. "Did… did they find anything?" I asked. Blessing hesitated. Then she whispered: "The doctors said your tests are clean. Again. No infection. No food poisoning. Not even fatigue." I stared at her. "So why did I faint? Why am I throwing up worms?" She didn’t have an answer. And honestly, neither did I. --- Later, the doctor confirmed it. "Janet, we’ve run every possible test. We’ve checked your bl00d, your stomach, your system. Everything is clean. No trace of worms. No sign of illness." "But I fainted… I threw up actual worms!" He leaned forward. "Look, sometimes… when people are involved with certain spiritual activities, intentionally or not—it can affect the body in strange ways. The science won't always explain it." I slumped in the chair. Tēars streamed down my face. This wasn’t just spiritual… It was deliberate. Someone had planted something inside me. And I knew who. --- As I was wheeled out of the office, Blessing’s phone rang. She answered. Then turned to me, eyes wide. "It’s your mom." I took the phone slowly. "Hello… Mummy?" Her voice was shaky. "Paul… please come home. I had another terrible dream about you. This time, I saw a man standing over your body, collecting your bl0d and laughing while you begged for help." I froze. Bl00d. The same thing Paul had started collecting. "Please come home," my mother begged. "Let me pray for you. Let me hold you. I know something is wrong." I closed my eyes tightly. The tears came freely. But pride still whispered to me: "If you go home now, you’ll lose everything." So I whispered: "Mummy… not yet. I’ll be fine." And I ended the call. --- WEEKS LATER… I began to feel better. The vomiting stopped. The nightmares faded. Even my skin started to glow again. Thanks to Blessing’s help and constant prayers, I was slowly crawling back to life. But just as I started finding peace… Paul called. At first, I ignored it. Then the text messages started: > “I miss you.” “Please talk to me.” “I’m sorry for everything. I’ll explain if you give me a chance.” “Janet, don’t do this to us.” Each one chipped at my heart. --- One night… I picked. His voice was calm. Gentle. Familiar. "Babe, please forgive me… I never meant to hurt you." "Then what were you doing with my blood? My pads? My saliva?" "I was desperate, Janet. The pressure. The hustle. I made mistakes. But I swear, I love you." I didn’t answer. "Janet, I’ll do anything. I’ll leave everything—just come back to me." He ended the call with quiet sobs. And for the first time in weeks… I didn’t know what to feel. Was I healing? Or was I being pulled back into the same trap? EPISODE 10 Written by Adeola ✍️ ________________ I couldn’t sleep that night. Paul's voice kept echoing in my head: > “I love you.” “It was just desperation.” “I’ll change, I promise…” But each time my heart tried to melt, I remembered the bl0d, the life worms on my stomach, the p@ds—everything he used against me. God!!! The memory made me shiver. --- The next day, Blessing noticed I was withdrawn. "You answered his call, didn't you?" I nodded slowly. She sighed. "Janet, don’t let emotions k!ll you. This boy is not sorry. He just doesn’t want to lose his sacrifice." I kept quiet. But I knew she was right. Paul wasn’t calling out of guilt. He was calling out of loss. He had lost his power source—me. --- But then… he showed up. One rainy afternoon, as I was leaving a small pharmacy, a black car pulled up beside me. "Janet!" It was Paul. He stepped out of the car, wearing a white shirt, neatly ironed—and those familiar fake designer shades. He looked different. Softer. Humbler. "I’ve been searching for you everywhere," he said, standing in the rain. People watched from across the street. But I just stood there, speechless. "Can I talk to you?" he asked. I nodded, slowly. --- We sat inside a small buka, across each other. He ordered water. I didn’t touch mine. "Janet, I’ve done terrible things," he began. "But losing you made me realize I was slowly destroying myself." I said nothing. He continued. "I’ve cut ties with everyone. The cült. The babalawo. Everything. I swear." I stared into his eyes. For the first time, I saw something different: Fear. Not love. Not regret. Just fear. Fear of losing something he no longer controlled. --- "I just want you back," he whispered. "We can start again. Go to church. Leave this yahoo life. I’m even planning to go into real estate." I almost laughed. But my lips were dry. He reached into his bag… And brought out something small. A bracelet. Pure gold. My name engraved. "For you," he said. "Just to show I still care." I took it. And stared at it. Beautiful. Heavy. Real gold. But something about it… Didn’t feel clean. --- That night, I laid on my bed and cried. Because a small part of me wanted to believe him. But my soul kept screaming: "This is not love. This is spiritual warfare." I picked up the bracelet. Held it up to the light. And I saw it— A tiny mark. Carved faintly beside my name. Not a heart. Not a cross. But a strange symbol. Something spiritual. Something dark. --- And just like that, I knew… Paul hadn’t changed. He was still trying to get me back— Not as a girlfriend… but as a sacrifice. But Paul said he is sorry!! Maybe I should forgive him? --- EPISODE 11 Written by Adeola ✍️ __________________ The bracelet sat on my table, glittering under the faint bulb. Blessing didn’t even sit when she walked into my room. She pointed straight at it. “paul, why are you keeping that thing?” I sighed. “I just wanted to look at it. It’s gold, real gold.” She hissed. “Real gold with real dem0ns.” --- That night, I dreamt again. Same dark pit. Same chanting. Same circle. Only this time, I was the one standing in the middle. Naked. Helpless. And Paul? He stood outside the circle. Holding the bracelet in one hand. And my used pad in the other. Laughing. I woke up with a scream. Sweat all over me. My stomach tightened with fear. --- The next morning, I decided to go to church. A serious one. Not the i********: churches. I told Blessing I needed deliverance. We found a small ministry, not too far from the hostel. The pastor was an elderly woman with grey hair and deep eyes. When I narrated my story to her, she didn’t flinch. She simply said, “Child, you’ve been spiritually tied. But God breaks bonds.” --- During prayers, she asked me to bring the bracelet. I hesitated. But I returned to the hostel and picked it up with a handkerchief. As soon as we placed it on the altar… The candle beside it burst into blue flame. Even the pastor gasped. She looked at me. “This is no ordinary gold. This is a bl00d token.” --- The deliverance began. I criêd. I scrêamed. I v0mited. But the most terrifying part? When she prayed over my stomach, I began to bl!!d. Not my peri0d. Real, strange bl00d. She stopped, and looked at me with pity. “He planted something. But it will die now.” --- It took three days of fasting and dry prayers. By the third night, I dreamt again— But this time, I was walking out of the circle. A hand reached out and pulled me forward. It was my own hand. The bracelet? It melted in that dream. And when I woke up… It was gone. Melted. Gone. --- Blessing scrêamed. “What happened to the bracelet?!” I just smiled. Because I finally knew— Whatever hold Paul had over me… was broken. But he didn’t stop calling. Or texting. Or sending gifts. Now he was desperate. I ignored him and moved on with my life. One afternoon I was parking my clothes to go back home to at least begged my mom for forgiveness. When I suddenly felt a warm liquid run down my thighs.. My heart missed a bit...
