A Heretic and Some Vampires

Chapter 10

Saturday, February 6th

I woke up to Kat shaking me.

“Good morning, sweetie. The boys made you breakfast in bed.” Kat smiles as she moves to the side.

I look past her, and the boys are all in my room with bright smiles. Isaac puts a stable over my lap as I sit up. Dante places a tray of food on the table, and it looks incredible.

“Bacon and pancakes?” I smile tiredly.

“And the pancakes were cooked in the bacon juices.” Isaac smiles as he sits down on the end of my bed.

“Really?” I ask happily. “Thank you for this,” I say as I take a bite of some of the pancakes. “Oh my god. This is amazing! I didn’t know you guys could cook.” I tease, causing us all to laugh.

“Alright, I’m going to go have some time with Andrew. You kids have fun.” Kat smiles at me brightly before leaving.

“How did you sleep?” Isaac asks as I continue to eat my breakfast in bed.

“I slept very well, actually. The first time I haven’t had nightmares in a long time.” I answer honestly as I sip the orange juice on the tray.

“That’s good, right?” Dante asks as he sits on the floor by my bed, resting his elbows on my mattress.

“Yeah. It is good. I think it’s because I finally feel safe again. I haven’t felt safe since Tash. You guys wanna know something funny?” I ask as I chew on a piece of bacon.

“What is it?” Enzo asks.

They all sit down, either on my bed or the floor beside my bed.

“Tash’s full name was Natasha. If you spell it backwards, it spells 'Ah Satan'.” I tell them, sipping my orange juice.

“That’s crazy. I never knew that!” Zac says, surprised.

“You learn something new every day.” I smile as I finish my food. “Thank you guys again for breakfast. It was incredible.” I smile at them, and Ian and Zac take the tray and table.

I pull my blankets off of me and swing my legs off the bed. I stretch as I stand up, and I realise I’m wearing booty shorts and a tight black singlet.

I turn around, embarrassed, to face the boys, who all have lust-filled eyes as they watch me. Well, all except for Dante, that is.

“What?” I whisper as I cross my arms across the front of my body.

I see Isaac's eyes widen, and I look down to see I was unconsciously pushing my chest out. I quickly move my arms and look down.

“So, What are you guys doing today?” I ask, trying to take their eyes off of my body.

“We were just going to watch movies in our home cinema,” Dante smirks at me.

I bite my lip, embarrassed beyond belief.

“Ok,” I whisper. “Uh, could you guys leave so that I can get dressed, please?” I ask shyly.

“Sure. Come to the lounge room if you want to watch some movies with us.” Isaac says huskily.

“Ok, thanks,” I say as they all leave.

I go into my bathroom and remove my make-up from last night. I brush my teeth and my hair before walking to my closet to get dressed.

When I woke up, it was 10:30 am. The boys and I went to the cinema and watched a bunch of different movies. It was entertaining. I had just checked my phone, and it was 4:30 pm.

“Hey, kids. It’s time to get ready.” Andrew says as the movie ends.

“Ok,” I say as I stand up and stretch. “What should I be wearing for this dinner?” I ask curiously.

“Kat is already in your room waiting to help you.” He smiles back.

“Cool. See ya' later!” I shout as I run out of the cinema towards my room.

“About time, young lady,” Kat says with her hands on her hips. “Into the shower, now.”

“Yes, Ma’am.” I chuckle as she pushes me into the bathroom.

I quickly get undressed and jump in the shower. I wash my hair and body, shave my legs and under my arms and then jump out.

KNOCK KNOCK

“Come in,” I call out as I wrap a towel around my body before drying my hair with another.

“Ready to do your hair and makeup?” Kat smiles.

“Yeah. Can I just put on my underwear?” I blush.

“Of course. I’ll get the straightener ready.” She replies as she walks out to my vanity table.

I walk into my closet and put on a set of red lace underwear. I’ve gotten really comfortable around Kat, so I walk out to her in my underwear as I continue to dry my hair with a towel. I sit down on the stool, and Kat starts to blow dry my hair.

After an hour, Kat has finally finished my hair and completed a dark red and black ombré eye shadow with red lipstick.

“There we go. Beautiful. On to the dress.” She smiles as she claps her hands.

Kat pulls me into my closet and takes out a dress I have never seen before. It’s a red silky strapless skin-tight dress with a slit up the side that stops about mid-thigh. Just before it can show anything. It’s a good thing I’m wearing a g-string.

“Oh! You look incredible.” Kat says emotionally.

“Shouldn’t you be ready by now?” I ask her as I turn to face her.

“My hair and makeup are done. I only need to get into my dress. Come with me so I can give you a pair of heels for that dress. Come on.” Kat smiles as she takes my hand, and we leave my room for hers.

Kat had given me a pair of red stilettos to match with the dress. So I went back to my room while she got dressed and grabbed a red clutch purse. I put my credit card, I.D and phone into my purse and clipped on a set of ruby jewellery from mums box.

“Clementine?” I hear Isaac call from the hall.

“Yes?” I say as I leave my room.

Isaac looks me up and down with wide eyes.

“You look... magnificent.” He says slowly in a husky voice.

“Thank you,” I whisper as I blush. “You clean up good too.”

Isaac is wearing a black suit with a dark blue button-up.

“Thank you. Mum and dad asked me to come and get you. Ready?” He asks, holding his arm out.

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” I chuckle nervously as I hook my arm through his.

We all left for the restaurant, and I was getting more and more nervous. I mean, I already knew that Brent loved my singing, but the entire situation was nerve-wracking.
