My fingers shook. Anna had replied the instant. Which meant she was online.
"I was opening the boxes of supplies. And I needed help"
I was shaking. This was the most bitter lie I had ever said.
"Oh, at the office?"
"Yeah", I replied, trying to look as normal as ever.
No, the fact I had texted was itself suspicious.
"Oh sure."
Her 'oh's and 'yeah's were the usual. It is Anna after all, and as much as I had noticed, she had changed. The thing was, my mind couldn't take a side. Uri had personally send me an order to summon her at the office today evening, and I wasn't making much out of it either.
"You will get a bonus payment and a promotion"
