“Yes, Sir.” My assistant trundled off with the work I had asked her to get done by the time stated.
This should have been done three days ago. I have never let work take a back seat to anything before now. But these past few weeks with Lilah have been all that’s on my mind. She is so deep under my skin that I’m way past lost. I can’t see my life without her, and I don’t know who I was before I met her.
