Dani has been in surgery for hours. No one has told me anything. Not one person has been in this room to tell me how she's doing.
My dad arrived about a half hour ago. He'd just finished interviewing and charging Maya. I'm not sure what with; I wasn't really listening. But I assume it isn't good. Maya will be going to prison for this for a long time. She shot and could have killed Dani.

It's not my business. I can't go poking my nose where it's not wanted. I don't even know the guy's name. I never wanted to know, but he'll take care of Dean. He'll ensure that little boy is cared for, happy, and safe.
