I looked at Chris who is looking at me. I almost understood everything, no I remembered something I forgot. I'm still missing something. "See this is not the answer. Why you guys are doing this to me? What he did to deserve this? What you all really want!!??" I yelled at them. "Yes, that's so brilliant of you. Do you remember your dad saying your mom ran away with an under worker?" I nodded. "Do you know with whom your mom ran away? With my dad. Do you know what it feels like to see this thing? After my dad is gone, my mom hung herself. I stood there without knowing what to do. But do you know what you and Henry did? When your mom came back with her new husband, you and Henry helped them to stay there. More than that, Chris's dad is the one who helped you the day your dad tried to kill you. In a way of showing gratitude, Henry helped your mom when they came to Chris's dad. This is all something that I can't do much but I thought I can get revenge by loving you and marrying you. That also has been blocked by him. Before I propose to you he did first. Surprisingly you accepted that and went out with him. Since my mom's death, I have to stay with dad. So I went to him and asked for help. He plotted everything and executed it. Things turned really well. As no one has met Christopher, I disguised as himself and entered your brother's place. But he still kept me outside of his business." he paused and turned to me.
"Dad promised me that he will get us married if I bring you to him. Now let's get--," Jade fell while holding his head. "What? Marriage? HAHAHAHAHA. What a bunch of jokers. Listen, boy, I said I will do so but I won't. I just wanted to know who helped that wench to start a new life." he laughed out loud. "But you already killed them both!", Jade said. My jaw dropped. "What!? Mom is not alive?," I asked him as anger rose in me. "Yes, baby girl. She is dead. His dad is dead. I killed them both. As I said before, I just wanted to know who helped them. Now I know it ready. Christopher's dad is not alive as he has been killed by the opposing team. But here we have his son. What about finishing it now? A helper's son, my so-called son, along with my baby girl." He pulled out a gun pointing towards us. "Any last words?" he asked. "I really believed and trusted you. I treated you like my own dad. How dare you betray me?" Jade spoke out of rage. I looked at Chris while holding his hand. "I'm sorry, I couldn't keep my promise. If we are born again I will make sure to protect you and love you more." I saw both Jade and Chris closing their eyes to get shot. "I have to say something. Remember I said about Jade informing you about everything he does?" he nodded. "Don't you want to rethink about it? Like confirmation," I said while pressuring the words. "Stop wasting my time. And get to the point," he literally screamed.
Then, the door was flung open and I saw the boys entering. Dad tried to move but Jade attacked him made him drop his gun. "How did you all come in? " dad asked in confusion. "Didn't I say? I informed Henry about Jade first. Henry might have assumed where I will be kidn*pped too. And now I'm here." "That was great timing. By the way, when did you know this rascal is not Chris?" Aaron asked and grabbed Jade's collar. "It's fine now. He has been betrayed by him. Now he has learned his lesson. Isn't buddy?" Chris said. Everyone looked at him and he said "I'm Christopher. Nice to meet you guys here." The boys went into a hug but stopped when a gunshot was heard. This time definitely it's not going to be easy. "You guys want a happy ending but I hate it. Let me kill just one." The boys stood there while thinking about who it is. I saw him raising the gun towards Chris and released the trigger. BANG!!!!
CHRISTOPHER POV
I saw Anna came in front of me and got shot while blocking me. She fell while the boys got her dad. "Anna! What have you done? Why did you do this? I'm already living my life in resentment. You want to resent me more by dying before me and get shot in my place?" I asked her while tears falling down my eyes. "Did you forgot? I said I will die before you, so you don't have to worry about me. But trust me, I won't die." She said while smiling. "Enough of talking. Let's move her to the hospital." Jade helped me by bringing her to the hospital. Few minutes we arrived at the hospital. Jade ran out and hospital staff came with a stretcher. She had been brought to the emergency operation room. After a few hours of operation, the doctor came out. "She is out of danger zone. Soon she will be shifted to a normal ward. then you can visit her." with that the doctor went away. It's been three days and she does not awaken yet. Henry told me to wait a little longer.

ANNA POV
I tried to open my eyes but the lights were so bright. I opened them slowly and saw Chris sleeping while sitting. I let out a little laugh which made him move. "Anna! Are you awake? Do you remember me? Oh wait let me call the doctor." He rushed but I stopped him. "Can't you see I'm perfectly alright? And I remember you, I remember everything. Stop worrying." I said. "What? Stop worrying. Do you know how many days have you been unconscious? What if you didn't wake up? Will you say stop worrying as well as a ghost?" Jennie asked as she opened the door. "When did you come back. I was just a way for a few days and you have made a big problem. I told you to stay safe. Leave it, have you ever thought of me or telling me these things happened?" she kept asking questions and Jade stopped her by covering her mouth. "Let them be alone for a while." he dragged her out. "Come here," I called Chris. "Look, now we all are fine. Let's get married. We have to start living.

A FEW YEARS LATER
We are now living a happy life. Henry left his mafia business and started a new business with the boys. He found himself a girlfriend and married her. Daniel, Aaron, Jade, and Christopher too are leading a better life. Everyone had children including me and Chris. While I thought that day will be the end of my life, I'm living in this moment. No matter what running away from a problem will never solve it. Always find a way to solve and face it boldly. We have to be bold at the right time of life to keep surviving in this desiring society. I, ANNA MICHAEL, WILL DO ANYTHING IT TAKES TO KEEP ME AND LOVED ONES ALIVE IN THIS DESIRING SOCIETY.
