A melodic song first echoed through her ears before she could open her eyes. It sounded so harmonious that it soothed the ache in her body.
“Sshhh… she’s waking up.”
The melody then vanished as soon as Uneece’s eyes fluttered open.
Instead of questioning where she’s at, she huffed in frustration, but the pain in her chest made her hiss after.
“Ugh! Why does this always happen to me?” She mumbled.
No one was there, however the gentle voices of men lingered.
“Greeting’s little human.” A gentle, monotonous voice echoed.
She swivels her head sideways, yet not a soul was present.
“Where are you?” She slowly got to her feet.
“I am here.” The voice passed closer to her ear.
The voice was chilling on her skin. She turned around swiftly.
“Stop playing tricks! What is it that you want?”
