Emma's POV

I dressed neatly when I was about to go to work, and then I left the house and walked away while praying that my work would run smoothly and that there would be no problems.

I was walking happily without realizing that I ran into James Parker who was very arrogant and liked to show off what he had.

At the same time, James Parker and I looked at each other, making me immediately want to turn around and look for another way, but the result? James Parker actually said something that annoyed me.

"You want to go to work, right?" James Parker's voice started to be heard, causing me, who previously didn't want to pay attention to James Parker, to end up arguing with the man.

I don't like having to argue with James Parker at all because I'd rather go to work than have to argue with that guy especially since it's not that important.

"Can't you see for yourself whether I'm going to work? You should have known that, instead of having me argue like this." I tried to be patient, I didn't want to be provoked by James Parker's words, especially as I was going to work, and I didn't want my mood to be bad.

"You have no shame? Do you have children without a husband? Is it possible that your job is just to be a cheap woman and then you get pregnant and give birth to those children?" James Parker scolded me and mocked me for having children without a husband to accompany me. Of course, at first, I felt annoyed but once again I didn't want to get emotional just because James Parker's words hurt my heart.

"I don't want to argue with you anymore, I don't want to be late for the office so get out of the way because I want to leave immediately." I can still control my emotions because after all I can't be provoked just because of James Parker's words.

"Oh, so you feel like you're lost in arguing with me? Tell me how much your body is worth, me. I'll pay whatever as long as I can touch you."

A slap landed on James Parker's cheek, I was really annoyed with the man in front of me, my self-esteem seemed to have been trampled on and I couldn't help but act.

"You started the fight with me, James Parker. I told you I wouldn't respond to you but you still force me to act like this, you should think that I'm not as cheap as you say, I could have done something more from here if you were still bothering me. "

I'm annoyed with James Parker because the man casually said something that hurt me, I'm not the type of person who will just stay silent if humiliated like that, I will continue to fight in any way possible.

"You're a woman who has no shame, Emma. You're a cheap woman who has no self-respect, which man would want a woman like you? You'd better sell your body to me and I'll give it to you at a high price.

"Enough, James Parker. Enough of you mocking me like that, just so you know, if I wasn't the type of woman you say, I wouldn't sell my body to someone like you."

I wanted to leave there but James Parker kept forcing me to stay, making me confused, there was no other way to escape and leave the man in front of me, namely my ex-fiancé.

"What else do you want? I already said that I want to go to work right now, if you make a fuss then now is not the right time."

"You rejected me? I'm a handsome rich man but you rejected me? You're an ungrateful woman, no man wants to be with you, and you can't be enjoyed anymore. That's why it's better for you to sell your body to me and I'll give you a lot of money. " I couldn't say anything anymore, I was confused about what to say when James Parker kept insulting me and made me unable to control my emotions.

I was forced to step on the man's feet and just run away, leaving James Parker alone, that was the only way for him to be free from that annoying James Parker.

Finally, I was able to continue my journey to my place of work, but as I walked I felt someone following me, making me immediately turn around and look around me. I didn't feel anyone following me, but on the one hand, I felt someone was watching me from afar.

"Could it be just my hunch?" I finally continued my journey without caring about someone who might be following me. However, I didn't have time to think about that.

When I arrived at work, I met Scarlett who was preparing the table, I apologized for coming late and Scarlett didn't scold me at all.

I quickly went straight to my workplace to put on my bag and jacket.

"Did something happen, Emma? Why do you look like you're thinking about something?" Scarlett's question suddenly made me shake my head. I didn't want to tell Scarlett about what I was going through, let alone about James Parker who insulted me and made me feel selfless.

"I'm fine, there was just a small accident when I wanted to come here so I apologize to you once again."

"Jeez, but you're okay, aren't you? Are you okay?"

"No, I'm fine, you don't need to worry about this anymore, forget it, it's not important."
