I looked at Scarlett with grateful, yet firm eyes. “Scarlett, I appreciate your kind intentions, but right now the most important thing to me is my kids. They are my top priority. I don’t want to distract myself from them.”
Scarlett nodded understandingly as if accepting my answer with respect. “I understand. If ever you feel ready to consider other possibilities, please feel free to contact me.”
