9 At nine-thirty exactly, Gale stepped to the center of the room. Clinking a spoon on a crystal glass, she caught everyone’s attention. “My dears, I am so glad you could all be here this evening.” Her glance took in the entire gathering. “I’ve arranged this event so you could have a very special preview of the fantastic work of Luca Russoli. Luca is Milanese and has been working in Europe on his latest sculptures. I am proud to present him and his work to you this evening.” Gale held out her hand, beckoning Luca, who stood on the sidelines, to join her.
