Lucinda's (POV)
The young girl led me out of my stone cell into what was a narrow corridor brightly lit by exposed bulbs sticking out of the brickwork, my aching body felt heavy and I still couldn't hear my wolf no matter what I thought to her.
We reached a staircase and the girl stopped and turned to me " now when you get up there I won't be able to speak to you so you need to hear this now" she said quietly " they are very powerful but I don't think they want you dead yet so play by their rules and you will find your father" she said and she turned and walked up the stairs.
I followed dumbly thinking about her words " if they don't want me dead what could they possibly want from me?"
