“Eve, you can’t keep avoiding me,” Steph whispered so Mina didn’t overhear her.
Eve was questioning her sanity in asking her sister to come by the third store they had visited. Steph had kept giving her a look like she wanted to talk, and Eve had been avoiding her. She knew what her sister was going to say, and she didn’t feel like arguing. Mina was good at being a buffer but even she would only be a wedge between sisters for so long.
