“Can I see Eli now?” Mira asked.
Thane jerked back to reality.
“Oh. He might be sleeping. I'd prefer we wait a little bit. He would wake up soon,” he said
Mira felt impressed. He had studied Eli within this short time. Maybe she had misjudged him. He might be a good father after all.
“So what should I do here?” she questioned.
“Would you mind me showing you around the house?” he offered.
“Is that right?” he enquired
“Well, you said it yourself. You're a guest. And I have to show the guests around. Maybe you might see something that catches your interest,” he said
Mira scoffed lightly. “Lead the way,”
“This way,” he said, gesturing her forward.
Mira took a step but stopped.
“We're going to be having dinner soon right?” she asked.
“Yeah. Probably in thirty minutes or an hour
