Mira paused for a moment, unable to comprehend what Thane just said.
“What?” she asked, trying to convince herself she heard wrong.
“Mira, get out of my car,” he yelled.
Mira's body shook in fright. She had never heard him scream before and it scared her.
“Thane. You must be crazy. It's already late and you don't expect me to get stranded in the middle of the highway,” she said.

He got down and opened the door, dragging her out. He tossed her bag to her and went back in the car.
