In addition to dividing the household expenses after Darren moved in, we also divided many of the household chores. We weren’t slobs, but we did have our own peculiarities about the way things should be done. Darren was fanatical about cleaning the shower stall after every use and making the bed every morning, so he usually took care of those tasks. I complained if the dishwasher wasn’t loaded and unloaded promptly and the laundry wasn’t done on a weekly basis, so I took care of those things.
