I’d just finished a root canal and was about to head to my office to do some paperwork when Lori, the receptionist, told me I had a call from Jay Tanner.
“He said it was urgent,” she said.
“Did he?”
“Yes.”
I laughed a little and told her I’d take the call in my office. After I was there with the door closed, I took the “urgent” call.
“Hello, Jay.”
“Hi, baby. How are you?”
“I thought this was an urgent call?”
“It is! I’m in town and I want to see you.”
