(Brandy)
I have been here about two months now, everything seems to be going really well, everyone has started to warm up to me. Asher has called me a few times, we have kept our conversations civil, even though I know he is still hurt by me leaving. He asks me often how it’s going here, to which I try to keep it brief and short. I did tell him about the rogue attack. He was not pleased and even asked if he could come visit. I had to inform him that I am a big girl who can take care of herself. That was not an answer that was appreciated by the Alpha.
Training was going well, however Brodie and Taylor have been a little shady lately. I have noticed they are asking me to do things, and not really giving much explanation as to why. We have doubled the training for everyone, and I have also been doing it all alone. I don’t mind it as it’s enjoyable for me, but I wish they would tell me what's going on. I choose to brush it off. I am just now getting comfortable and don’t want to sabotage that.
Max and I have not really spoken much as of late, but we do talk when he comes to observe the training grounds. We keep it very formal and to the point, ever since we spent the night together. I have been feeling an uncontrollable urge to be near him, and I don’t know if he feels the same way. I don’t want to get myself thrown out of ‘Blue moon’, so I keep my distance. Isa has informed me that the Alpha ceremony will be in a few days. She has asked for my help preparing. I told the boys I was going to take a few days off to help, and who are they to deny their own Luna's request? I have fought a lot of rogues in my day and been beaten to a pulp many times, but never was I ready for what was about to come.
So much planning, so many colors. Isa was a mad woman scrabbling everything together. I don’t think she was sleeping much either. My job was said to be so simple, just an extra set of hands, I was tricked. I was calling vendors and helping figure out gift bags. Also, I was double checking the food. I had to send out hundreds of cards to various packs, and make sure they were all properly mailed out. I then had to wait for an RSVP and add it to the list, to which I had to make copies of. I also had to oversee the guest house preparation, making sure there were enough rooms set up. Luckily, Blue Moon had an entire village for guests, it was more of a hotel-like set up in a lake that was behind it. So guests could take a dip, but it was mostly just a village to sleep in.
“Oh Brandy, I cannot find the floral vendors anywhere. They were supposed to be here, If those flowers are here, and the families are all showing up tomorrow!” She looks at me flustered as she downs one of her many glasses of wine. This woman is a saint. I looked at her, taking a binder from her hand, “I will go find the florist. You will eat some lunch. I talked with Victoria and she is making you some omelets, and I will take care of this.” I told her as I pushed her towards the kitchen and needed all this wine. The poor woman needs food.
I ran around trying to find this florist, not knowing what she looked like. My head is buried in this binder, when I suddenly feel my body collide with someone. I shook my head, keeping my balance. “I’m so sorry I-” I paused as I looked up, seeing Max. “Max, hi, what are you doing down here. Did your mother rope you into this too, it’s OK, you can run, I’ll cover you.” I say as I tap his arm, we both break out laughing for a second. “No luckily I did not, but by the looks of things, she's working you like a mule.” He says while giving me an up and down look, is he checking me out? I shake my head and say, “I have fought rogues that were more merciful than this process, I can’t believe how much I miss the battlefield.” I say while still laughing, enjoying our conversation. As we talk I get a feeling of longing, I feel myself having missed him. “I am so sorry but I have to go, your mother is on her four glasses of wine and I finally got her to eat. I told her I would find this florist. If I don’t, then she will put down another glass and do it herself. We can’t have that, Max.” I said to him, and giving him a playful, worried look. He gave me a playful look back. “Don’t let me keep you, but I told my father to come soon and try to relieve her.” With that I bid him farewell, as I spotted the florist.

The pressure of this Alpha ceremony is starting to build up, making me second guess everything. I find that nothing helps me let loose. I end up spinning a coin on my desk in an attempt to calm down. I go outside my office, hoping walking around will help me calm my nerves. I wondered to myself if I could sneak into the kitchen to grab a snack. I started planning it out in my head. I laugh to myself, realizing I feel like I am invading an enemy pack as I plan the exact same. I have devised a plan of action, ready to execute. I sneak into the kitchen undetected, I grab a beagle and put it in my pocket and bite into a protein bar. Just when I thought I got out scot free, I smelled the sweet smell of pine.
I look up and see Brandy has bumped into me. My heart rate slowly begins to go up. I steady myself out, so she doesn’t hear. She starts talking about the ceremony to me and my mother, but I don't listen. I can’t help but look at her while smiling inwardly, her scrunched nose and messy hair. She looks so flustered as she helps my mother get ready, a laugh inwardly as I see a giant binder in her arms. I keep a light conversation as I can’t stop looking at her up and down. I think she noticed me checking her out as I saw her squint. She rattles off about having to leave, and that’s my cue to leave her.
Casanova casanova, where art thou casanova - General snaps at me and I hear him howling, shut up wolf - I snap at him. I am not in the mood for his snide remarks. I have so much stress about meeting all the packs tomorrow, I need to stop thinking about Brandy. I went into my room and looked at the bed. There was a suit laid out for me with a note.
I got your suit picked up, please try it on. If it doesn’t work let me know immediately. If you don't, your mother will have both of our hides. I am not going down alone.
-Dad
I sigh, this is sadly the easy part compared to tomorrow.
