Aurora's POV
"You can't just show up at her door."
Sebastian says it like he already knows I am not going to listen. He is right. "Watch me."
Lucas is already driving toward Nadia's apartment. I gave him the address before Sebastian could argue. Now we are three blocks away, and I can feel the tension in the car like a living thing.
"If she's been placed," Sebastian says, "then she's been trained to deflect. You walk in asking about a locket; she'll know something is wrong."
"Good."
"Aurora." "I said, 'Good,'" I turn to look at him. "I'm tired of everyone in my life knowing more than I do. If Nadia has answers, I want them. Tonight." He holds my gaze for a moment too long. Then he nods once, not in agreement, but in acceptance.
