"What? No! I'm not the Moon Goddess," Snow muttered, quickly averting her gaze to the ground.
She didn’t want the lady to see her face—she couldn’t let her see her eyes.
The woman rushed toward her and, in a split second, grabbed Snow’s hands. Snow froze.
No! She couldn’t control her powers. She could freeze this woman. She tried to pull away, but the lady’s grip was strong.
"Please... bring him back. He was scared that day. He said he saw something—beings that weren’t wolves but could shift. Their strength was triple that of wolves, and they couldn’t be killed by wolf claws. He came home terrified. I didn’t believe him... but then he went missing the next day…"
She broke down into tears, her body shaking, and Snow couldn’t quite comprehend all of
