It was Saturday, Lea went shopping with Brandon. While they were shopping, she got a call from Avyanna inviting her for lunch. Lea agreed and told her she was at the mall shopping. After an hour, Avyanna was surprised to see Lea shopping with Brandon. “You should have told me you are with your boyfriend; I wouldn’t have come.” Brandon and Lea started laughing. "Brandon isn’t my boyfriend, he's more of a brother, a partner in crime. I lied to you about having a boyfriend. I am sorry. Brandon, this is Avyanna," Brandon looked at Lea, amused with the latest life she has been living. “You look beautiful, Avyanna. Nice to meet you. Can we now go and have something to eat?” Avyanna was relieved when Lea confirmed that Brandon wasn’t her boyfriend. Ever since her brother left, she needed to start hanging out with people. She liked Lea and thought she was a very kind and beautiful lady. They chose a simple yet sophisticated restaurant to eat at. Lea, Brandon, and Avyanna started getting to know each other. Avyanna was interested in getting to know Brandon. Lea noticed that Avyanna was interested in her business partner and that she was a different person from the office. She was happy but she hated the idea that their potential friendship could end before it started because Brandon doesn’t commit in relationships; he's a playboy.
"Avyanna, how about we go to my place after we're done here? I could use a female friend right now. My whole life, I have been stuck with this guy, but I think we will be good friends," Lea said, looking at Brandon, who felt left out because he had been there since they were 17. "Wow, just like that, you found my replacement, Lea White. Where is your loyalty in our friendship?" Avyanna started laughing. "I would love to, but don’t you stay with your parents?"
“No, they have their own lives in Australia, here my family is him, we got each other and it has been since we were in University.” Avyanna was surprised, “Beautiful, I would love to get to know you more.” Avyanna and Lea had a conversation like Brandon wasn’t even around the table. “Continue making me invisible, I am already canceled in this duo, Avyanna you are taking my best friend away from me,”
They started laughing. The food was brought to their table. Their conversation was flowing that they lost track of time. Brandon decided to settle the bill and drop Lea and Avyanna to Lea’s new apartment. Brandon didn’t know that her friend had moved out, so Lea sent him a text and location to the new place. He was shocked and couldn’t believe his friend had gone too deep with her secret of hiding who she really is. He soon left them because he was supposed to travel for the project.
Lea and Avyanna started drinking while sharing stories, but Lea never told Avyanna that she was already the President of the biggest company. Instead, Avyanna got excited about Lea’s parents and her being mixed-race. She was starting to get drunk, so she began asking about Brandon. Lea was concerned about Brandon's behavior with women. "Avyanna, do you like Brandon?" She wanted to find out if she was hallucinating or if it was true. Avyanna started laughing; she never thought Lea would ask about it. She had never been in a relationship before and couldn't understand the burning desire she felt when talking about Brandon. "He's an interesting guy. His blue eyes give him a gang vibe, his body posture is nice to watch, but I don't do relationships. They suck, and I see myself sitting on my mother’s couch crying for a man." As she described Brandon, her eyes brightened, and her smile revealed the dimples she had. Lea wasn't lying; Avyanna was in love with Brandon.
It was late when Avyanna decided to go back; she never slept out unless she was on vacation. After Avyanna left, Lea needed to find a way to know Leon outside of business. She continued drinking because her heart was hurting when thinking about Leon and Shanice. She got so drunk that she dialed Leon’s number, and it was midnight. She was crying and confused. “Hello, Mr. Langley, are you sleeping?”
Leon was shocked to hear from Lea at this time of night. “Lea, I was sleeping until your call disturbed me. What's wrong?”
Lea, intoxicated and unable to hold herself, continued to cry. “I wanted to tell you I am in love with you, Leon Langley, but you are dating a psycho, and you never notice me. Why? Am I not good enough? Your girlfriend is not more beautiful than me.” On the other side, Leon was really confused but enjoying the confession, though he sensed something was wrong. “Lea, are you okay? Where are you?”
"I am at my apartment. I was with Avyanna drinking. Now I can't sleep, thinking about you, Mr. Langley. My heart is for you. Greet Uncle Nath for me." Lea dropped the call. After that, she went to sleep. Leon thought that since Lea was drinking, she was drunk when she confessed everything.
